man oh man, ive been outta it.
thanks for the offer limequat, but i gotta get my ass out there in person to pull the stuff i need, hate to have some one else freeze to get it for me. but if you see an NA mkIII supra lemme know, i need the shifter still.

92TealSupra;nice to see you on here, I didnt think the two worlds meet all that often!

Well, back at it. Took a bit of a brake to remodle a room in the house for the wife (she needed a library to keep all her books and nick-nacks).
Yesterday I finally finished all the stitch welding, and battery box, and ground peg. I ran out of semi gloss por-15 so it didn’t all get painted yet.

These give you a good idea of the frame rail stitch welding that was done

The paint on the fuel lines was really shot so I used a pocket knife to scrape it all off and painted them all with some silver por-15. I also had a bit of time so I installed the xenocron 255lph fuel pump and por-15ed all the surface rust on the tank.

I ordered more semi gloss black por-15 so as soon as that gets here I can finish painting the underbody and install all the lines, tank, and suspension.

No MKIIIs this time, but there were 2 MKIIs and a cressida.

Also a 928 with intact powertrain. Ya know, if you happen to be jonesing for a Porsche V8 project :)

well i got the quart of semi gloss black por-15 and went thru it almost instantly... I only got done the rest of the underbody and the interior trunk area.... i thought it would have gone alot further than that!
well thats it for me this pay check.. ill prolly hang the ridged lines and toss the rear subframe in place but i dont have any more $ till next thursday (spent the last of my money on school books)
ah well i have plenty to keep me busy till then!

fuel lines are in, gas tank is in, rear suspension is in, and the main rear brake line is in. just need to bolt down the tubing clamps and run the rest of the brake lines....
will probably end up sandblasting the brake components before the end of the weekend. but for now shes just how i like all my girls, down on all 4s begging for more!

dam that car is going to be a beast. keep up the work man.

thanks man,
yeah im excited to see what it will do.
Im not too hopefull of numbers because that engine has been dynoed at 200rwhp in mk3 supras, but i think it will be plenty of fun factor.... plus i would love to hear a v8 rumble to this car :naughty:
I was so geeked this morning that i bit the bullett and got more wire work done.
The fuse block and relays are offically relocated to the trunk area. Hopefully next week i will get the front cross over section of the harness (ran along the front core support) sepperated, and get the 1uz bits wired in....
i know i have to start working on the exhaust manifolds soon, but thats going to be many long hours out in the cold to get those right.... im not looking forward to it!

noting worse than waking up early on your day off!!!
but it worked out for the best.
this morning i finished up the re-wire, relocated the last of the relays to the trunk area, and eliminated the stupid cross over wire loom across the radiator core support by routing all the wires thru the dash loom.
Now all that’s left is going to parts galore and grabbing the alternator loom and integrating all the 1uz wires into the works....

lol, that would be mine, without a proper tune and running pig rich with the stock SC400 exhaust manifolds. Still pushes harder and handles better than with the previous engine which was running at the stock boost level.

that is very nice to hear *for me, kinda bites for you!* seeing how i will be running re-arranged tundra tubular headers, a perfect power smt6 tuner, and 7mgte injectors!

ive got almost all the wire done. I didnt have any more stranded 10g and i still need to get some stranded 8 g from work for the last two connections...

at least its done enough to bind most of it with electrical tape and set in place in the car... that way on monday I can wire in the last two connections when its in the car...

OH, all that and i need to start plugging the wire harness onto the engine..

well i think the harness is just about ready to go into the car.... It kinda sucks that i have to take apart the intake manifold to swap out the wire harnesses between it and the valley pan, but hopefully i only have to do that once!

looks like its going to have to wait till Wednesday, tomorrow night i have to do homework (automotive electrical 101 BTW  ) and Tuesday night i have to go to class...

I will at least get the last two lengths of wire soldered in tomorrow and possibly borrow dads hole saw for the harness loom...

e brake shoes are on... they are a little tight though, very tough to turn the rear wheels over by hand, damn near impossible to turn them backwards....
guess im just going to have to let them wear in and see how it goes....

just got work from Jake Breyck at www.Quantum-Auto.com hes going to be hooking me up with a flywheel, dual friction sprung clutch, 1800lb pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, hardwear, and alignment tool for $700 shipped.... cant wait to get my hands on those bits!!!
