Yeah. It really sounds like an electrical connection, like a sprak plug thats fouling up, but the sounds comming from off the fuel rail area.

No it isn't rpm dependent... And it sounds more like a coil ignition kind of thing but close to the injectors... anymore idea's?

I am getting what sounds like an electrical ticking sound on my 7M-GE. the sound is comming from around the fuel rail area. I can't quite pinpoint the location. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

I had the same sound for about 3000 miles... then one day it got really loud... try and pull the spark plugs and if it goes away when you pull one of the cyclinders you will instantly know... I did and it lead me to the conclusion :(

also if it is just a bearing thats busted why can't I just replace that one bearing?

I have never torn into the bottom end of an engine... what all happens when you take the oil pan off... Do i have to take more then the oil pan off?
