New record 1/4 mile and mph

I will post some pictures of the car later on. The block has stock pistons with crower rods. I managed to run 8.97@150 on a 100% stock internals engine, but looking for more power, be safer down the track and take better the higher reving engine with cams that were installed I had to put...

New record 1/4 mile and mph

Last Saturday on my first and only pass on my corolla with 1jz manual transmission on the Super Street Shootout I was the fastest time of the event, 8.89@153.50mph. They didn't let me race again because the car was not certified by nhra. Here are some videos and the time slip...

No, but can take some of the 1j's. Already sold the 7mgt and will convert to 1j.

Well, I went to the track last night... again

I've seen that before plenty of times. You should be running 3.73 or 3.91 gears. If you run 4.10 that might never happen if launched properly. The only times it has happened to me on a mk3 is with the 3.73. Bias ply will be softer on the drive train too. If looking for gear, the 8" ones from...

Here is the car with the tire change (slicks) and still on same diff ratio. Still needs fine tuning. Its was running a little rich. The mph were 136.36 not 135 but the board had some missing bulbs. 9's coming soon!!! http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Sergio-Dumont---1007135mph_155662.htm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxMffLrzz3U&feature=related I found the video of the 9.4 pass on my black twin turbo 1jz Supra. If you stop the video on the 23 second frame you will be able to see the time on the board. Hoping to better that in a coming May 31st super street shootout...

    1JZ Pistons

You can fit the 2jz pistons on the 1jz but they will have to be made for the n/a 2jz and still the compression will be lower than with the stock 1jz pistons. Don't even think on using turbo 2jz pistons on your 1jz. I compared the rings of the 3sgte engine and they will fit on the 1jz pistons...

No, we are going to change the axle ratio and launch the car at low boost and then hit hi boost after 2nd gear.

He is using e.t. streets but the turbos spool fast and therefore, tire spinning!

Definitely! but the turbo is to small for more boost on a build engine. Remember that the 1jz is internally stock and the 7mgt was fully built with ported head, big intake, rods, pistons and cams. Sorry on the hp figures. I only did a dyno testing on the 7m to look for a misfire and had...
