I've decided to swap my jdm 7mgte and r154 setup into my 88. My 88 is a 7mgte with an auto trans. My original plan was to replace the head gasket and drive it while I build my jdm setup. But I'm moving to Texas soon and I won't have anywhere to store the engine. So I'm going to pull the engine...

Oh shit. It's you Steve. This is Ryan with the primer grey 86.5 with the jdm swap. We met at rice killers last fall...
I searched the forum and I couldn't find anything. Maybe I'm blind. I'm pretty sure I read something in the past that said the rear end code is part of the vin number. Does anyone have any insight on this?
My check engine light popped on. I popped the hood and this is what I saw. Apparently I have a special engine. Only one made in Minnesota. Actually she was checking the cylinders for out of round. She had her head down the number 3 cylinder.
If the tie rods aren't perfectly straight and I mean perfectly you will never get a true alignment. As they twist and turn when you turn the wheel its going to change the alignment specs. This is fine if its just a drag car. But id never do this when you have a $800 set of tires on your car...
I dont know if this is relevant. But I had the same problem with my 7m from bouncing it off the rev limiter. I just unplugged the battery for ten minutes and it was fine. You should try that.
