Ok so here's the story. After finishing up my 1jz swap this fall I came to find out that during the swap I had accidentally warped my head. So then I had two choices get it resurfaced or find a new head. I found a 1jz head on Club lexus. The head was said to be a good 1jz head, valves...
I think its sorta cool and a lot of work obviously went into it but I fell like what a lot of you guys were trying to say is. "WOW!! that is a really really really well done STUPID project." idk thats the way I feel at least
I'm running the CXRacing 31x24x3 intercooler and it works great. not sure that helps much though cuz I had to cut and weld the bumper to get rid of that funny lip on the back side.
p.s. sorry for the crappy pic it was on my phone
if the check engine light is on then there will be codes stored. what you need to do then is:
1. turn the car off
2. connect the te1 and e1 plugs in the diagnosis plug located on the intake manifold
3. turn the key to on.
at this point the check engine light will flash. count how many times it...
Ok, thanks guys!! that makes me feel a lot better about them. anyone else have a different opinion? and nobody suggested a price either. what would you pay for them?
any codes? my 1j did a similar thing when I first swapped it in. that was of coarse because I didn't have a map sensor. probably not your problem but codes would still help.
hey so I'm about to buy a new 1jz head(ported, valves oversized, ect..) and I'm looking to pick up so 2jz cams to throw in it. I found some but they have a bit of rust on them. I've been reading around the internet and it seems many people have cleaned rusty cam without any problems. so what do...
no, no, no!! you guys are wrong. didn't you even read this that thread? the guy says he's getting 36mpg!! he wins hands down.

oh and I like the s2000 too! not particularly powerful but if you've ever seen one of those autoX its impressive.
I know a guy who has one and he says...
Hello and welcome! I'm really sorta excited to find someone 16 years old. I'm 17 myself and I got my supra a year ago almost to the day and have often felt that I'm like the only younger guy on here. but anyways good luck with the build man.
ok then. I guess thats most likely my problem. I should really be more careful in the future. so if I do a compression check and the bolts are the problem I should have bad compression right?
when I had the head off I checked for warping but I couldn't see any. I don't know to much about the deck but it looked clean and smooth. I checked for scratches but it looked good. I did reuse the stock bolts but I thought they were good for 2 or 3 times. and a good shop is always a good idea...
