In most DDPs i believe the section that vents directly out is only used when you hit full boost, when the wastegate is open. Therefore there is no real need to adjust anything :)

If its any help, i have 5 or 6 friends with diff turbo timers in diff cars and none of their alarms work with it... The vibration sensor alone is sensitive enough in most cases to go off from the engine running. And hey! solder your wires! none of that twist-shrinkwrap stuff :(
