not at all. you need one to get past the 120 mph mark, the other takes care of fuel cut. if your only gonna use one then i guess youll just have to pick between limited boost, or staying under 120mph
ya it should just make it run like crap. i had a problem with my fcd, and a map code. just made it run like shit, had to keep on the gas to keep it going.
only pic i have of mine right now, in the top right of the pic. i bought mine of off Adjuster, on this forum and it had a little special mount. as far as the original mount. :dunno: i could post pics of my mount if you wanna look for one similar.
i would just do as greddy recomends. splice it into the ecu harness. throttle sensor type has to be set to reverse type that way the e01 can get an accurate rpm reading. reverse senor type means that it decreases the throttle signal voltage as the throttle opens. so ya anyway, just set it up to...
try our vendors, they have everything you need. Aaron (driftmotion) Jose(kaizen) and Robert (935) i have dealed with and they are awesome.
you will need to upgrade your fuel system, and the rest of the supporting mods. turbo is usually the last thing you want to upgrade.
there are three plugs, find the round one with three wires. blue white and black splice the white and black together. just go and look at it, dont be timid, you gonna realize how easy it is once you go and look at it.
the rears are kinda hard to get to use some long angled needle nose. the are way in the back right against the firewall almost. front nipples are under the the intercooler pipe.
ok, look at the pic you have, there is a nipple on the turbo compressor housing, and one on the wastegate for each turbo. now just run a long line from wastegate to wastegate, cut the line put a tee between and run it to the boost controller, and do the same for the compressor housings.
thanks bro, the first one i saw, but that with upgraded twins and the whole 9 yards. i seen the second link before and was just looking for it. im actually looking to see what kind of gains people are getting with aftermarket, not 2jz cams, on a nearly stock 1jz. just wondering if its worth it...
correct, just bypass the switch. there are two wires black and white as far as i remember. you need to splice them together, they are located on one of the plugs from the auto tranny harness
not sure if i understand you completly. but you should tee the wastegates, then tee the compressor housings. wastegates go to the left fitting, compressors go to the lower fitting. you need a lot of hose
hey guys, i searched but didnt really find much. just wondering who has put upgraded cams on a basically stock 1jz? ive got intake, full 3" turbos back exhaust, and profec e01. what kind of gains could i expect. for the money i figured id rather go for cams and not intercooler and hardpipes...
nice. welcome aboard. well if you liked you 400hp subie, (fun im sure). your gonna love the 2jz they are nuts. youll be back up into 400hp in a hurry. guys are getting 400+ with just exhaust boost cont. and bcc. 400 is bearly scrathing the surface. good luck and show us some pics of the new car...
on the drive shaft. supras have two piece shafts. the bearing is the connection of the two. if you grab it and shake it around and you can see, feel it bouncing around youll know then.
