    Exhaust Switching Question

Yeah, the reason I'm running one is because I will be running a cat and a quiet muffler. I had a car before that had a nice sounding but loud tone, it grew old and annoying. So this way when driving around "normal" (or with a chick) I can run quiet, but when I want it I can just flip the switch.

MK3 in intro of BBC's TopGear!

I don't think they ever tested one, but they blew one up. Yep, they used a MKIII to show how "movie stunts" are done. It starts by the MKIII being chased by a BMW, then they show the sup run into the back of a simi and blow up. Then they wall you threw how they loaded the car with explosives and...

    Jimi's build update

Cool man, I knew that, just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. The last oil I used was the cheapest stuff I could find for the first run. Knowing there would be no additives. I think it was called "Proline", basically the store brand (pep-boys).

    Jimi's build update

Thanks IJ, is that "non friction modified" mean dino oil? Of coarse I wouldn't run synth, I will pick up a case of straight 30 weight (i used 10-30 "dino" last time) Glad to see yours is doing so well! Thumb is doing pretty good, shouldn't have a problem. TX weather......I guess its good...

    Jimi's build update

Thats a big 10-4, wouldn't even think about not doing it. Now I have to figure what weight oil to run, during the day it's been in the mid 70's and at night it will be dropping into the 20's (according to the weather ch).......TX.....haha.

    how critical

I don't think so, if it looks lined up then it is. If it was off by a tooth it would be noticeable.

    how critical

Put the belt on, turn the motor over by hand until you go back to TDC, see if the cams are lined up, if so you are good, if not adjust and repeat. But you should be good. BTW, these are noninvasive engines, so even if you're 180* off (you're not), putting the belt on and turning it over by...

    Suspension

Ok, I can see the rebuild point, but you can get the SS's for $955. But that doesn't really mater, what I'm curious about is performance and adjustability. I would rather buy from you guys, but for about the same price as the SS's you would also need the adjustability. Basically I'm asking for...
