    Jimi's build update

Thanks IJ, here is a PDF of their flywheel page w/ toyo. Does anyone know what the UHL # is? arp-bolts EDIT: nevermind I found it, "UHL: Means “Under Head Length.” The distance as measured from tip of the fastener to a place directly at the base of the head."

    Jimi's build update

Ok guys, I figure since I had to pull the engine out, I will replace the fly wheel and pressure plate bolts with ARP hardware. Does anyone know of a vender the carries them?

    Wierd noise @ idle...

Try switching back to dino oil, and maybe a little heaver weight. I don't think a little over would hurt anything, a lot of guys around here run a little over full.

    ColdHeat Soldering Tool

Yeah those do work well. I work with a guy that only uses a butane iron. His cost some change though, I've just got a small butane iron w/ torch for doing stuff where I can't get power for my iron station and heat gun.

    ColdHeat Soldering Tool

It's a POS, for a living I install Pro audio (as in arena, church, concert sound systems) So a lot of my job is soldering. Well my dad thought it would be a good gift for Christmas, so I tried it out on some wires and different stuff I had around as scrap. I was not impressed. All it does is...

Starting with 400-600 depending apon the surface. working your way through the grades up to the finist grade you can get your hands on...

    Kwnate's "FTW" build

Looks good Nate, I don't have mine vented, it's an optima also. I guess the easy way to vent it would be to drill through the bottom of the box and the floor of the hatch.

Not yet, the motor will arrive at the engine company monday. They will do the tare down (for warranty reasons I left it all together).

    intake manifold

The problem with that mani design is that all the v-stacks inside create turbulence and lessen the flow rate. There was a flow test done by someone on SF, and it included a mani with the v-stacks and a mani where the bottom plate of the plenum incorporated the "round over" (like what I did on my...
