That is not a ground on the alternator.
It is the main power generated by it!
Here is what made my swap easy
The thick black wire that goes to the alternator it is in a pair it goes to a block connector its black and it mounts to the body of the jza70 i took the whole thing and just...
As far as parts you could find parts all day long for it the only diffrence between the 2jz and 1jz is the stroke the height of the block & alot of other parts cross over you dont have to order your timming belt from japan you know.
The best motor mounts and crossmember is the 86.5-89.5 they are solid and way stronger, cheaper they dampen motor vibrations less but you have less flex & play in your engine bay.
most people running more then 500hp will tell you to use the solids the liquid ones tear up easy and cost about...
Yep MA70 & MA71 3.73, 3.91, 4.30
JZA70 had 4.10
if you plan to drive soft on your car and not upgrade your hp but plan to canyon carve or do a couple willow springs twisty road runs then go with the 4.10
if you plan to upgrade hp do hard launches then use the MA70 diffs
if you go...
I didnt get a throttle cable i shortened it it was pretty easy to do!
for the PS line i used the hydrofan line the pressure side one since i went with the 2JZ cooling system setup it was much better and i used the line since it was there.
I guess i should explain a little bit better but...
Yep about two weeks! At the most
1-2 days to remove the old 7M engine & crap
2-3 days to prep the engine change belts gaskets water pump to 2JZ set up. Should really upgrade the "Y" pipe now also.
3-4 days to drop the engine in the car
3-4 days of final touches wiring electric fan etc...
Best fuel pump in the world is right here, not only can you upgrade your fuel lines/rail/regulator with them but their fuel pump is top of the line also!
hands down better then two walbros or two mkiv pumps it actualy provides smooth fuel to the rated hp the walbro i think at most is rated...
Will you need left/right front fenders? if they have no dents or repairs how much to send to 92567 I almost bought a set from jarco but they beat there clips up and scratch them up real bad.
Block is fine rear pair coil packs are not.
Are you parting her out so her parts may live in other supras ?
I have a spare firewall from my old supra but i didnt cut it in the right spots i cut the vin area off it also its like the center section prob not good for changing the whole thing if i...
bingo
ok the sensor is hooked up correct but the power for your sensors is not some one screwed the harness up or blown efi fuses ?
take the harness apart and put it together like it should be.
Also be carefull there is one - two unfused always hot wires part of the ignition starting...
Did you extend the harness or leave it factory?
Simply not extending the harness avoids this often.
The small jumper harness is easy to fix and re-pin
the 1JZ haves two oil sensors idiot light is the pressure switch next to the ac compressor screwed into the block
the orange led in the...
here is new picture for you how to hook up the ok monitor
I installed mine behind the gauge cluster also there is that red/yellow wire it loops out of the body connector and back into the supra i dont know why but i took it out and left it and the wires behind the gauge cluster but there you go!
Ill be nice
gain is minimal
loss is ALOT
All the space for the extra equipment extra gas etc...
Also the turbo works off of the gases being pushed out of the engine so the more the engine works the more the turbo works! so they work together two engine would demand synchronization you...
Just a small note and picture for some one since we cant upload pics in PMs anymore my server is down right now for maintnance so just ignore this for the most part anyone else.
^^ kinda true kinda not it is true in most cases remember a turbo is more a compressor then just a fan by design, but a vacuum cleaner is an example where it can suck and hold a vacuum also on my shop vac if you put your hand cupped on the outlet side it will continue to blow and hold pressure...
