having the same experience as zach. my local advance no longer has the three clerks that know me by name. now they have some women i guess they got from walmart for cheap. no disrespect to women but most dont know crap about cars, dont know what a part does that they are pulling, cant make...
If the valve has been replaced by recall it will be registered with toyota. i had to replace mine. i pulled the parts myself and had the evaporator core tested then i reinstalled. about three years later i gave toyota my reciepts for the parts and work i had to pay for that i did not do and...
the dialetic grease is good for sealing up harness connectors ( dont put a bunch in the pins holes but around the seal). i also use a coating on the spark plug tip before putting on the plug wire. that helps to keep the plug from corroding up in the plug wire. if you wash off your engine or...
Ha you already have multiple motors. They are just laying around your garage in pieces. You just need to assemble it all into one engine and put it into one of those bodies sitting around your back yard.
Piggy back will be fine for most people on this forum. You final hp goal, injector size, true timing control, and low rpm/idle performance are areas that will decide for you if you need a total stand alone system or piggy back. Also affordability.
If you are using 600cc or bigger injectors...
i wonder if this piston was not in the cylinder all the way when the crank was put down on it. Maybe the weight of the crank caused the piston which was sitting tilted in the bore to hit on the edge of the cylinder and bend some before going into the hole. but i dont think your piston was...
There are fuses also and a one specifically for the a/c clutch. My a/c went out and i noticed the clutch would not engage. i had just had the a/c charged recently so i knew a a/c clutch would have to have a fuse. I could not find it so i looked in the wiring diagram TSRM and found it.
it could be that you dont have enough freon to keep the low pressure switch on.
there is also a 25 amp fuse for the compressor in the right side kick panel. Yes thats on the passenger side. you have to remove the panel to get to it.
I had a bad problem getting a proper alignment with my lowered car. It was too low to align with stock adjustments. I bought the super pro bushings for the upper and lower front arms. The top a arms are realatively easy to install. not too difficult to press out the old ones with a proper...
I have an aem in my 1990 T Surpa and the a/c idle up has never worked properly. when the a/c comes on the ISC valve is supposed to open up more to idle up the engine to provide power to the compressor without the engine dying. The valve opens by the % you choose in the a/c load comp % in...
remember 9.5:1 is very different from 9.0:1. doesnt sound like a much but it is inapplication. so comparing CR of 10:1 to 9:1 is quite a different engine. as long as your octane can be compressed in that 9:1 cylinder without igniting you can run it. watch that timing.
to help keep...
So you go from selling it and buying back your emanage to a "piece of cake" in 7 days, gixxer? :biglaugh:
it does get easier as you finally figure out what all the definitions mean in use. also the more you tune the more you will understand.
wiring it in wasnt that hard and takes about...
sometimes on the front tires if there are any wheel weights on the inside of the rim it may hit the control arm as it rotates into it at full tight turn. the bump stop will need turning out some. this probably is not your problems tho.
yea at idle and just at low rpm i had a real low down thump. it was regular but disappeared as rpms went up. the balancer was wobbling around on the crank snout just lightly.
sorry i wasnt there to help out. but as our last conservation things seem to be getting better. i hope your rings are still good. bet you have a problem with a shim in the head. cant wait to get together to do some tuning on our cars but i will be unavailble this weekend.
there can not be any movement of the pulley when on the crank even before the bolt is tightened down. no slack at all. the bolt will not keep it in place if the key way is moving. also there is rubber in the pulley which is why it is a harmonic dampener. the rubber can break and the outer...
