r154 pops out in gears 1-3

They synchronizing teeth are not matching speed, hence the grinding.

    AC question

That doesn't mean too much. If you have a 40 degree discharge temp when it is 90 degrees, you do not have a fault with the A/C system.

    The Small Questions Thread

Not on the exhaust you can't. Pressure moves from high to low. Heat moves from hot to cold. The easier it is, the faster it happens. A giant intake manifold will hurt velocity at lower speed, this is true. On the exhaust of a turbo car, the dyno shows otherwise.

    EGR Troubleshooting

I was actually looking for a different EGR flame war. But now that the ECU is....decoded we can look back and giggle.

    MHG Leaking?

True. Many do more than just a compression test wrong.

    Higher oil PSI?

So you installed oil that doesn't flow as well hot? What you really needed if you opened up the clearances (why?) is pump more oil. That give you higher "psi" on your gauge because more oil is trying to occupy the same space.

    r154 from 4runner

Why not just use the one for the Supra?

    Higher oil PSI?

You sure did. Right here. You lamented the stock oil pressure at idle, then you said how you were going to raise it. It is best if you just don't comment about oil. Since you know more about it than the API, SAE who developed the rating, GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc etc in regards to...

    Higher oil PSI?

How much more oil flow do you think you need? Do you understand that the oil at 210 degrees has the properties that are desired, and not when it is 40 degrees? Did you catch the comment about it is a relief valve and has nothing to do with idle flow? As a side note, I was watching Motor...

    No injector pulse!!! update

There is a reason there are paid professionals doing not for free what you clearly cannot do. And by paid professionals, I don't mean low bid.

    No injector pulse!!! update

The pickup sends the engine time and position signals. That is the CPS. Duration and timing is also calculated with the airflow signal. Small corrections are made with the intake temp and coolant temp.

The Luxocruiser 3650 lb sled thread

I would do an all aluminum LSx before I ever did that. I came to my senses of thinking about it with some help from Knob Creek.

The brackets are a certain size for the radiator and the mounting holes a certain distance to fit the Supra. They are often single model only. The way to see is put in the part number at something like Toyotapartszone.com. They will show if it fits more than one thing, like say a Camry.

Thread pitch for tstat housing.....some of this crap has to go!

That fan switch closes at 220 degrees and could be used for yours. I would have to look in a Toyota tech book to verify on and off temps. And since I have not taken it out, I couldn't tell you if it is metric or something like NPT. Toyota has done things like that before. 3p might have the temp...

Thread pitch for tstat housing.....some of this crap has to go!

So because you don't have A/C, you don't need axillary high heat fans? They turn on with water temperature. You might considering leaving it.

    No start

So you get the right flasher when you step on the brake, and the brake when you turn on the right taillight. The first thing you can do is check the electrical source which is the battery, cables, ground, and alternator. This will help narrow down why the battery is discharged.
