So far, so good, but I will in all likelihood change then out at some point. All my hardware is snug so I won't have issues that is talked about elsewhere, and I did ST sway bars front and back (recommend this), so I can't tell if they are stiffer or if it's the sways.
Rear passenger sound has...
First of all (and I very very very rarely say this) your an idiot.
I don't normally flame people on forums and this is NOT Facebook. Occasionally we will get a snippy remark from someone weary of reading the same question over and over... But there are good people here with good knowledge.
You...
Love that dash.
Pretty sure my headlights in my 88 are automatic as well if I leave them up.
That interior looks super clean. Funny how we got the digital climate control and JDM was more manual
ahh, thanks for those photos. I was looking for 11 ribs as well, but I think they are under the intake manifold, so I couldn't see them. The more I see of this motor, the more I see that doesn't line up to what the PO was told it was and what was done to it.
I'm thinking that I will find a...
I thought that this was a pre 90 block, although it was billed as a 92 JDM.
Yeah, I tried to find the info from the serial.. but I think that is just a "series" number.
Can anyone tell me (from the photos) if this is a '92 JDM 7MGTE block? I am building a second 7M to have as a standby (because... well... because its a 7M). So far, a lot of what the engine is supposed to have doesn't seem right.
Like the heli coiled exhaust manifold studs... they don't look...
You mention cost so air ride is out... Lol.
Pretty sure I could go lower than a 2" drop with my HSD coil overs, but that, to me, would be stupid. Unless your slamming solely for car shows, that's not practical. I am between 1-1.5" and I elegant to raise mine about 1/4" to save my bumper. Right...
I run HSD coilovers. (Same as Stance)
They are adjustable... I'm not sure how high I could go though (never thought about raising the car... Lol)
I'm actually going to raise mine about a quarter inch simply to save my bumper.
I think the 4.3 is perfect for a NA as you get the quick acceleration. Or if you were using it as a track car with short runs. But for long distance travel it's nice to be able to stay near 3000 rpm with the taller gears on the 3.9 and 3.73. I'm just swapping in my 3.73 hopefully next week and...
Basically only speed. 3.73 is probably the best overall for a turbo. Lower revs for highway driving.
If your doing quarter mile, the 4.3 is gonna be a snappier diff for the gears.
I had an oil burning problem that was valve deals as well... Funny how I ended up with a new shortblock and metal headgasket after going in to fix that little problem :)
