'89 isn't the same as 90 and '92. '89's change mid-year. You should always treat '89 cars as their own special bucket of bolts.
Early 89's often match 86.5-88 cars, even if they have gray plugs. Late '89s often match the 90-92's.

I do NOT recommend fixing the problem the way I did, but it worked until he blew the motor. (not due to the crank pully problem, either)
Any damage will be external, as 7M's are non-interference...
A lot of the BMW guys use Treadstone manifolds. They're pretty good quality. But, for our cars, there are MUCH better options. I wouldn't buy one.

There is no such thing. If you can't get what you need out of the stock setup, build some custom adjustable front upper control arms.
Are you sure the cams aren't seized?

I like to put one stud in each side (long ways), diagonal from each other. Makes lining it up super easy. ;)

Gorgeous. There are select few white cars that I like. Yours is one of them- it's beautiful. I also think the new wing flows well with the overall stance of the car. I can't wait to see it painted to match. :)
No way! That was the plan I had for my car, but without the crazy machined parts. LOL.
I've always wanted to tuck the radiator deeper into the front of the car (more toward the nose) I had even gone as far as talking with a local shop that makes radiators to get the basic idea of it worked...
