If you only need a couple mm's just take apart your alternator apart and shave the back of it down a little. As for fining a smaller one, Im not sure of. Pulling from my memory bank (not always correct, lol) I think a MR2 and Viper alternators fit, but I think they are higher amp output not...

Not to many supra owners run the style I picked up. It is what they call a rx-7 style I guess because the in/out is 90 degrees for the end tanks. It is just the way I wanted it because of how I wanted to run my IC piping.

Again what harness is already in the 89? yellow or gray plug? As for the tranny, RotaryHead is correct, auto harness will work on a manual. You will just have some extra plugs that are not going to be used.

Depends on if you have a early or late 89 (gray or yellow plug). And what ecu your going to use.

Update is in the pics. Im going to have to make or find a spacer so I can get the center of the cooler a little more stable with a bolt. Also I relocated the horns under the nose so there more out of sight. Also I think Im going to mount he FPR here, but not sure yet.

Yersterday, I sanded / cleaned all the parts, laid down a coat of primer, and followed with 3 coats of high temp black paint. Maybe this afternoon or night I will go back out to the garage and play some more with the sup. Hay Sean, you know of a local place/ shop that dose ceramic coating...

Maybe try a new OEM Toyota one, instead of rebuilt autozone special.

New lip is 1 3/4". Old one is 3 1/4" !!!! A little more clearance. Yes, I believe the turbo-r is 89+ only. I pd. $234 shipped from Royal More. When I bought mine there was 3 left in the U.S.
