I would say its "not 100% necessary" but it will help with warming up quicker and keeping oil at the right temps. Some setup's that run a big oil cooler can cool to much and keep oil too cold for street driving. Where the thermostat will help keep it at a constant temp. But Im no expert...

Pretty much most cars/ trucks have had a low oil light since about 2000'. Maybe only "budget" cars don't have it. Last car I have owned that didn't have one was a 1991 Pontiac Bonneville

I like what your doing with your remote oiling system. My parts are in the mail for mine as we speak, and Im also planning on installing the oil filter is the same spot. Have you run into any clearance issues yet with the oil lines?

What are you using or doing for the rear trim under the tail lights? As for LED tail lights, they are awesome. It is also on my list of things to do.......... some day, I just dont think I have the nerve to do it.
