Oh i just saw your vids...... You were doing 3rd gear pulls, I dyno mine in 4th gear, Anyone correct me if i'm wrong, Aren't we supposed to do pulls in 4th gear to match the 1to 1 gear ratio???
550s Are toooooo big for your set up, I made 310hp at 10 psi!! That was with an AEM ems though, Check your timing too & 17 psi is still safe in my opinion, I pushed them to 20 psi & made 422 hp, Again i have a AEM ems & that makes a huge difference.
They have extremely weak trannys! My friend broke his 3rd gear, He was just trying to jump on the ramp for the highway, I thought dsm trannys were weak.
Try driving a 5 speed SC300 with open diff in the snow (that was today!!) It sucked big time, I wanted to drive the Galant VR4 ssooooo bad today, But it has no insurance!! :(
I made 422 hp at 20 psi on stock twins with a AEM ems, BPU mods on my 1jz, I decided to spend my money on the ems cause i got tired of stock ecus taking a dump on me, But if you are only looking for 350 hp on a nice decent single & afc & drewgo has proven it i say go for it.
