Ryan, thanks again for the info on the fusible link. I checked everything & it turns out
the negative connections in the Rockford connector had some corrosion. Anyway the car
is up and running, still rich & in need of further tuning on the AEM EMS & I want to run
a 12 volt connection to the...
Edward, I have a complete afm set up, it has a custom hard pipe off the
stock turbo to the afm with K&N air filter. If you think you can use it PM me
with your address and I will ship it to you. If the set up works for you keep
it, if not, ship it back to me.
Cordially, Fred
Ryan thanks for the new info, I am going to check that now. My battery connections are
new-Rockford gold plated +&- for a stereo system I used to have in the car.
Thanks again, I will let you know how I make out.
Checked the connections at the positive terminal, all are clean and good. Do you know
where the fuse for the link is located? Thanks again for any help. Fred
Chris, thanks again for the info. Now every thing is dead on the car after changing the 100
amp fuse and trying to start the car. This one is driving me nuts. Would gladly welcome
any other ideas you might have n what might solve my f-up.
Thanks, Fred
IJ, hope things are well down under. If you have time, please take a look at the thread I
posted: Lights Action Dead. I changed he 100 amp alternator fuse tried to start the car
and now everything is dead. I really can't believe I fucked this up so bad by touching the
alternator with the power...
Hey Seth, if you have time take a look at the thread I posted: Lights Action Dead and let me know what you think the problem might be. I still can't figure out how or why touching
the alternator with the metal idle up pipe would cause a spark jump. I would think the
alternator would be grounded...
Just to add, tried the key again and now everything is dead. NO response
at all in any key position. Took out the battery and had that tested-OK so
where do I start?
Thanks for the info Chris, just changed the fuse and nothing. Everything comes
on inside and when I turn the key to start everything goes dead. Possible
short in the starting system?
Thanks for any response, Fred
Just rechecked the fuse, top looked OK went to pull the fuse and it is locked
in tight- to the extent that the plastic shattered in my fingers. It's probably
fused to the bottom poles? Also interior beeping and interior lower light flickering. Never had that before. I agree with your quotes, I...
Went to start my car today & every thing came on as usual then when I turned the key to start the engine every thing went dead. Yesterday when I was installing the power steering idle up metal pipe across the lower front of the
engine, I touched something in below the alternator with the pipe...
Anyone know of a reason that would prompt my power steering idle up to be
removed when my engine was rebuilt? Thanks to teedof00 and his last
reply in HPS-1 I a have diagram of the system and realized that my system is
gone. Would it effect the tuning or lack thereof, since the car is...
Just wanted to thank you again for the info you sent me. It is invaluable to me in correcting some of the mistakes I have encountered since I got my car out of the shop!
Now all I have to do is find a knowledgeable AEM tuner and then I hopefully will be on
to the next phase. The car is to much...
Not yet, haven,t had a chance to work on the car tonight. See my other
reply about the pictures. Also, arrogance over rides ignorance and stupidity
if someone is unwilling to say they do not know, making them unable to
ask for assistance. Some times vanity belies foolishness.
Thanks, Fred
Thanks for the offer, pictures would always help. The only problem I see is
that I am not running an accordion pipe, it's custom with a map sensor hook
up for the AEM I'm using. This actually started when the map sensor was replaced.
Thanks, Fred
Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the power steering vacuum hoses?
There is a valve or vacuum sensor above the pump that should have 2 hoses
running off of it. Mine came back from the GD shop with one hose looped
on this valve, I guess the ahole who put on the coilovers, which work...
