Looking for a new turbo. The engine is built, would like to see 550 to 600rwhp.
I don't know, but I'm looking at a Garrett GT 3582R Trim 84, A/R 0.82 and
Wayne suggested a GT 4088R w/ Trim 78, A/R 0.85. Please help with your
experience.
Thanks Fred
I have one, almost brand new, hanging in the basement shop. I'll give it to
you if you want it. PM me with your shipping address and I'll send it to
you. If you like it keep it, if not just send it back. The one I have is a
wheelskins, also have a shifter boot to match.
Thule, I think thats spelled wrong, any way they make a really nice roof
mount rack. Mine had two rails that locked the front fork down and a front
spoiler to deflect air. Very aerodynamic, I've run 100+ with a bike on it &
no problem. It actually looked kind of neat. As I remember I think it...
Wayne, I will let you know how it goes with my dealings with The Tire Rack.
If it is possible that I could set you up with the same deal I would be happy
to do so. I am sure that they would be happy to get a few sets of OZ,s
out in the public viewing area. They are really nice people and...
That is a funny thing about owning a Supra; especially when I'm reading
everyones build threads and am plagued with the I want that syndrome!
My wife also thinks the car is a money pit so sometimes things just show
up on it.
Kind of, the man that owns The Tire Rack is a good family friend. I have
bought 8 sets of wheels and tires from them, so when the time comes
to buy I'll see if I can't work some magic.
I am in the process of buying the AZP BBK, I am also looking for new wheels.
I wanted to ask anyone using the 14.2" front brakes
what off set they are running on their wheels. The wheels I am looking at
are the Blitz Techno Speed Z1 18x8 or 18x9, The OZ SuperLeggera III-
same size options.
Yes, everyone has an opinion and I try to respect them all to filter my own.
I agree that the 154 can be difficult, almost chunky, especially on a double
clutch down shift w/ heel and toe. I thought I could remedy it somewhat
with a Supra Sport short shifter but it still can be a pain. Since...
Thanks for the feed back. Fortunately I've only had to replace my clutch
once in 105,000 miles. That was with an IAG TUNING stage, 3 so far so
good.
Thanks, Fred
Well I guess that sums it up in a nutshell! You have a good looking car with
a beautiful engine. Nice attention to detail and color scheme. I have the
same Bomex front on my car with Piaa fog lights in the outside vents, works very well. I also added a fiberglass under belly to the front which...
Very good answer, I appreciate the information. I was reading some of the
other posts about rebuilding the transmissions and buying another to keep
as a spare in case of breakage and that is what prompted my question.
Thanks, Fred
Thanks for the clarification. What threw me, and I did search, was my cars
specs in the members list: 1992 MkIII 7MGTE-stock turbo W58 5 Speed.
Thanks, Fred
Just a question because I do not know; what is the difference between these
5 speed transmissions? Was the R-154 offered as an option and the W58 a
standard transmission? Please bare with me, although I have owned my
car since 1992, I just drove it. Suddenly with this forum the lights are...
George, I want to follow up on our conversation from Sat. I would like to order
