Yeah, I had a PT6262 lined up from a friend with all my setup nearly finished aside from injectors, and then I started hearing all of that from Precision users and others that are reputable. I've since decided to go BW-S362 despite being more expensive.
best comment here.. my twins have always been able to hit 16-18psi when it's cold (boost controller has been zero'd out since day one because of this), and probably around 14-15 when it's warmer. these turbos are known for boost creep when a free flowing exhaust is added, and I imagine the...
hands down best comment.. the weight is coming off the entirely wrong end of the car.
moving a 20-30lb battery (maybe they weigh more *shrug*) to the hatch doesn't make up for the 700+lb motor under the hood.
I do agree with my decision to relocate it to the hatch though.
I would never really worry so much about the front windshield or the quarter glass.. the trim in those areas can be replaced with aftermarket that looks great, perhaps better than stock.
However, the hatch trim is another story entirely IMO. That is, unless someone has produced results that...
Make your own.. I'm going to order one for the 89+ and modify it to fit.
To clarify, I'm going to redesign it as far as needed for it to fit perfectly.
Actually, from what I've been hearing from a lot of tuners in my area, Precision has been having some QC issues as of late.. A decent amount of the local shops are now running Borg Warner because of the heavier duty designs. There also isn't nearly as many guessing games involved when it comes...
yeah, I'm actually considering the same thing (not so much for track use), but I'd like to have 245/275. then again, I'd rather have a 9"/10" combo as well..
Depends on the drop/camber..
My car has very little camber, and the fenders have a little over 1/4" clearance to tread. My specs are 18x8.5+15F (-1deg) and 18x9.5+18R (-1.5deg), and that is as actual flush with the fender as it gets. No protrusion and no intrusion..
235/40 and 265/35 FK452s
it's most likely your diff lash, the differentials in the mk3 are notorious for it because Toyota used a crushwasher instead of something more durable to hold the tolerances.
Mine has always been horrid, and I've never fix it.. thankfully I don't beat on my car, but I imagine it isn't too great...
The response they give is a sure thrill, but like other have said/will say, most singles will do the same and more while being less complicated..
after swapping, my car did 340whp @ 16psi with an AFC Neo, tuned ECU, 3" downpipe, and FMIC+piping.
I've been told multiple times by people running anywhere from 600-1000whp (2J) to not trust a single pump (Walbro, Denso TT, Bosch, etc.) much past 500whp.
I'm inclined to believe them, not to mention the majority of setups I've seen seem to abide by that rationale.
