I would have thought so... but... there are some components that still need a stock ECU... luckily, like I said, I have that SARD ECU and a stock 1JZGTE ECU.
Strange though... I will do some more research on that.
One problem with SARD ECU... the specs on it seem lame to me... IDK. Here's the e-mail w/ specs I got from the dude:
Thank you for your inquiry about SaRD Analyse ECU for '91 Supra 1.5JZ-GTE.
Here is your ECU information for 1JZ-GTE.
- The ECU modified for boost up
- After Market Exhaust...
Yeah. When I get my car back this weekend, I will post it up... it's still connected... in order to control the RPM gauge and speedometer... and maybe a couple of other things... luckily, I have an extra 1JZ ECU in the trunk... LOL!
Still can't see why the SARD ECU costs $1500 though...
Yeah, just got a Haltech Standalone ECU... installed and tuned... or should be, by tomorrow or Saturday...
Anyhow, the standalone eliminated the need for quite a few things....
Wondering if I should sell my Sard ECU? Is it really that rare an item? Well, it's for the 1JZGTE... got the...
When you buy upgrades to replace the upgrades you bought less than a month ago and wonder... should you start selling some of this stuff? Or save it for the next supra?
You cuss out all the tuner shop owners in town because they can't work on or tune your car without destroying something in...
did a clutch change on my Supra less than a month and a half ago.... had the same problem. Don't remember what pressure plate it was... but almost same outcome, just not as bad.
Darn high horsepower does it to these pressure plates.
DANG! That looks nice!
How much torque can that handle now?
In a hurry here... have to leave to catch flight to Texas for Turkey Day....
Is that the best route to go as far as re-enforcing the sub frame is concerned?
What other ways are there to re-enforce the sub-frame?
Catch...
yikes! I think it's about time to change the drag radials to street / all weather tires then...
Naw, I haven't hit any curbs or gone over any crazy pot holes, very careful with my baby.
Yet, re-enforcement of that sub frame is critical with my goals of getting 600~700 hp in the next...
No I wasn't at the shop. I'm out of Ft. Bragg, NC. A good 2 hour 30 minute drive away.
Kind of upset, there not more Supra people around here in Ft. Bragg area. Many people deployed and all.
Not much time left myself.
Yeah, just want the critical gauges. Have an autometer egr, boost, oil pressure, and of course being installed is the AEM wide band...
I really don't want a million and one gauges, I would seriously shoot myself if that were to happen... it would get too tacky then.
Luckily, the...
you know what? I dunno yet! LOL
I am currently in the process of having a wideband sensor, AEM guage, Haltech ECU Standalone... and some major repair work done....
The mechanics at Majestic Motorsports are gonna dyno tune the car when all repairs are done...
Un-tuned... the car was...
WOOT! They fixin the car! They fixin the car! SO AMAZED!
Just posted on the general forum... they found some serious damage to the rear sub frame! Unbelievable!
THANK GOD these guys are leaving no stone unturned on my car. Thank god they found this problem.
Ooooh! Good question... as per what brand they are... I have to double check... really can't remember... ugh... they are yellow... hmm... who makes yellow colored injectors?
Right now, they are working on that sub frame. Those pics were from today!
They just finished putting the Haltech...
But, isn't that the reason we put on AFPR? To control the amount of fuel going ot the engine?
Right now mine is set to 40 PSI? At least that's what it's showing when I am idling....
Is that not enough for the 680 cc injectors? Or is it too much?
