I knew of a few in Japan with no videos, but apparently this one is of a 1000whp 1JZ (JZX100 Mark II Tourer V).

Usually I agree with buying new if something ceases to function properly, but unless I get blowout or it starts breaking up, I'll stick with my shrink wrapped ones ;)
lol same here.. I've never had a flex-section on my Trust DP, and I've bashed some stuff with it in the past. I'm not saying that's good, but it apparently held up
+1, my car had a pretty decent loss of power and would occasionally break up under WOT.. once I heatshrinked all the coil-packs, the difference was amazing.
I had the EXACT same symptoms, and it was the twins.. no oil in the downpipe, catchcan, or intercooler piping.
also, sound is a great indicator, as said above. My rear twin started to whine on hot starts after a while, so that's was another easy giveaway.
Welcome! I'm glad you're enjoying it.
I've managed up to 29mpg at around 70-75mph with the 1J/3.91 combo (temps below 80).. I'll agree with them being great highway cars.
You could always contact Dr. Tweak and ask him if he has any advice after providing him with the details.. If not, there are two options (IMO): send your current harness or lack thereof to him and have it repaired, or you can buy another harness and send it to him to do the removing and any...
^ it's always about what you want to get out of the car and how much you want to spend..
It is lighter, and it has more displacement, so it *could* be better, but it depends on what's done to both motors/cars.
