Thank you to whom ever posted mine information, stock modified to front facing is relatively cheap and effective, flowed roughly 5% better and more even across the board, I had a post on SF and it was done on a super flow flow bench. Here are a few others:
And this one is my first modified...
Pedal controls the temperature of the puddle or basically how much amperage the welder is drawing. So say you set the welder to a max of 150 AMPs, so when you step on the pedal fully it will peak at 150 and then as the puddle is melting you can back off the pedal to control the size and...
Hey justin,
I did 440RWHP with stock TB and 2.5" IC pipes. Just now doing up to a 3" TB and 3" IC Piping. I know I posted them before but check out this 3" TB (both):
The FFIM is most likely gonna be 4" so you might as well go with a 3" TB and then you can go bigger on piping if you want...
Yea it is! When I originally started making them I was using an old school welder without a pedal and the circuit would only handle about 125AMPS from it or it would blow the fuse. I would just have to pre-heat everything to 400 degrees or so, which with the weed burner is really not as tough...
You mean something like this?:
:naughty:
To stop warping and draw minimal amps simply do heavy pre-heating. Easy done with a weed burner fed off a propane tank!! Also makes the welding go extremely fast and easy. Search for posts by me and you will find a bunch of other FFIM...
Check the one out in my post here:

3" Very nice piece came from a guy off of ebay, can bolt the stock TPS to it in about 2 minutes!! Just needs longer bolts then they supply.
HTH,
Seth
NO ISC needed, flanges can be added. The dash pot thing can be eliminated by simply turning up the return stop/ idle screw. Simply screw it in and it will stop the TB from slamming shut as well as allow for idling without ISC. In summer mine idles at roughly 650rpm once warmed up which...
I have done a few race car headers. The best way is use a snap tie to hold it at first and over lap the first wrap by about half and the just over a 1/4 overlap from there on out. Constantly unwind to stop tangling and pull very tight. Most of the time I grab on with my hands and twist hard...
Thanks guys! There has to be a place to do anodizing, search google for a location!
ALSO GUYS CHECK OUT MY MANIFOLD IN THE FOR SALE SECTION:
ONLY $625 SHIPPED W/ 3" TB, ALTERNATOR BRACKET AND MORE!!!
Thanks,
Seth
Well I recently had back surgery(Monday) O YAY for me!! So I am anxious to get back in the shop soon which it will be another week and a half minimum :( But anyways just a tease of my project as soon as I finish some customer manifolds!! Hope you enjoy and Happy Holidays!!
So...
Well I have been building them for quite awhile now. You will be amazed at the work. I am working on some methods of stream lining the process for better mass producing to cut costs but I think $525 shipped in US for a Long Runner Custom w/ Alternator Drop down bracket is quite reasonable...
What are the specks on the turbo? Sounds very nice, but maybe a bit low, I did 423rwhp 427rwtq at only 16psi on a T61 size turbo? But none the less sounds awesome, good job!!
Seth
There are grounds all over. From the main harness to the chassis, plus your from battery to block. There should also be battery to chassis ground. The going around and wiggling wires may sound stupid but in a case like this if you are not an electronics expert it is about all you have to go...
Chris,
There are about 10 different posts about FFIM. Is there a direct advantage:
Yes about half the IC piping plus less heat soak. The manifolds may not flow better at the low numbers they are flowed at yet under boost(huge pressure) the designs would. Check out these pictures and...
Got it down to 2hrs tops...lol Done it twice, make sure you have the seal in right (spring to inside to hold pressure) As IJ said grease the inside a bit. But overall not too bad a project for a day but if you don't fix it you will hate yourself forever as it will completely coat your motor...
Exactly!! Just the Lex AFM/550/Walbro 255/FPR/Wideband/S-AFC/ combo limited me to 18psi and 440rwhp even tho the A/F's were pretty rich and there was plenty of fuel left it still cut out anytime i tried to go over that. If you have a fairly solid setup that is not boost spiking all the time or...
