    What do the cables going to the battery look like? worn, not tightly connected, exposed wire strands, corrosion build-up ??? All and any of these can have adverse effects.

Not trying to be offensive, but you should read up on basic aerodynamics, before you go sticking a wing on a 4,000 lb car, that is going to stick up above the roof and into turbulent air.... ah hell just go ahead and do it.     what do you want for it? I need it big time. Dealer wants $296 new and I can't justify spending that much for a plastic shroud. Also there is no junk MKIII's around here..so I'm kinda in a situation lol.
