I would say go with the NSX!!! I've heard lots of bad things about the FD sadly... I've always loved the way they look, but apparently everything about them (structurally and mechanically) is not that great... that's what I hear from locals at least that have had a few + done v8 swaps and so...
hrm... I will deffinitely look into this
Intriguing.... thanks for the tips... I'll keep that in mind (I thought eibachs were linear? I've been wrong before though)
if you don't mind me asking... off hand do you know if the brake master cyl. is any different? or was changed. If you don't know, don't worry about it. I'll figure it out ;)
This is one of my favorite mk3 colors though. Supra clean :naughty:
Hm I'm not understanding why progressive rate springs would do nothing. Since race springs would always have a stiff spring rate. Idk if you have anything I can read up on/make sense of it, I'd love to know more about it. I was planning of keeping the stock sways to see how it handled, but...
I understand exactly what you're trying to do, and this is exactly the response I was expecting. Don't you guys understand there is no changing my mind? I started a thread with one simple question, and it's been derailed all to hell because of (well founded) statistically based OPINIONS. I...
yeh... I just scooped a set of discontinued RS*R down springs (unused). my buddy had a set on his 200sx (rps13) and that car rode soooo nice. ride was smooth and comfortable and the springs stiffened up once you got into the corners.
yeah I was aware there are some controllers out there...
this really shouldn't surprise you JJ... if it does, you don't know as much as you think you do.
what I'm getting at is when truths are formulated into words a lot of times you will start finding contradictions. in other words... words are cheap and are used as a guide... almost an archaic...
lol @ boost monger... on porting... don't forget to get your manifolds ported/port matched... also I noticed that my MP T70..... the exhaust side where it mates tot he flange... didn't really match up very well... could be a potential for a lot of turbulence.... ALSO it would be a good...
yeup... deffinitely havta think long and hard about that. But yes I have a fairly new car without ABS, and I've come incredibly close to wrecking it multiple times (people braking like CRAZY in front of you), but the brakes work fantastic without ABS on it. But yeah, I've also come into...
Yes, it seems a lot of people would like to talk me out of it, since this thread has gotten to be so ridiculously long. Considering I asked 1 simple question, and after reading pascals law answered it myself. Although there has been some invaluable information brought to light.
Now I think you...
that's exactly what I was thinking Dan.... sadly that car was stolen in early 08 and never recovered. I did spend a lot of time under it, but never saw a broken swaybar end link
what coilovers did you end up with? IDK if megan racing makes ones for our car, but I heard they use apex-i units...
I'll keep you in mind if I do indeed part with it. when I remove it I will of course be testing the car to see if it brakes appropriately. If it does not, the unit/associated parts will be re-installed.
I NEVER claimed to be able to do what ABS can, and I was very specific about saying that I DO NOT like what ABS does for me or my car. I'm 25 now, I know I'm still somewhat young, I've had close to 100 thousand miles of driving experience (most not on the highway, but still at least 1/6...
are yours adjustable on the fly or are you talking about manually adjusting dampening with a wrench, or are you referring to progressive rate springs as well?
