I thought I should clear up some confusion about this.
Originally when I made this item available, there was a company called Berk Technology that was taking overseas manifolds and "fixing" them to be proper and offering a crack free warranty. They use one of the welders from Magnaflow (they...
I just put a copy wastegate on a customer car, works fine daily driven @ 12 psi. I took it apart and compared to an HKS apart and it was all designed the same way.
Note that the HKS has a nipple at the top, not an adjuster screw. My copy did not come with any nipples.
I have tried a few, hit the oil filter housing. Worth the cost? yes. Worth using? Not sure.
You have to custom fab a spacer, then you have to get around the oil filter issue, then it might not last.
I think a turbonetics cast manifold is the way to go, for it to least years and years...
I do not have a long 1jz listing in the store, because I try not to sell what is not within easy reach.
However, we do sell a full line of 1JZ parts, brand name or custom made, because we work on 1JZ cars every day. Example of offering:
typical stuff:
cams
cam gears
injectors...
2 1j swaps last week, NA to turbo swap this week, and 2 more swaps MK2 and MK3 booked for the future
it's a good thing we don't do this on a day to day basis... we have no clue what we are doing.. we do have lots of fun though!
I can make these (or have them made). I will guess that you are trying to use an eBay manifold. If so, you need a spacer adapter to raise the turbo.
Let me know specifically the manifold and turbo you are trying to use.
Here is a picture of my HKS Hiper muffler. It also goes down to about 2.5". It is a baffle used to "catch" the exhaust and get more into the packing material. However, the HKS Hiper has a 3" inlet. APEXi N1s that I have seen are also like this.
Since I sell Exhaust Depot systems, I'll be...
That is the exhaust depot exhaust.
It is a replica of the APEXi N1, made in the USA. It is actually BETTER then the N1. It is fully stainless steel, whilte the N1 has steel piping.
So think of it as an N1 SS!
What was the total price shipped?
I'd like to compete :)
I have found that drilled rotors are easy to crack if you drive hard enough, long enough. However, for the average driver they are fine. You lose brake to rotor surface are though, too bad.
We've sold a number of these in the absence of Blitz NUR systems (backorders at times). Customers were always happy and there are a few reviews on our website.
Exhaust depot MAKES the system, so of course they are not going to list a brand name.
Name any system, made in the USA and in...
