That Black F1 Manifold is my boys car, Car is an AMAZING car..... an Intake manifold will hurt your spool up, Get a open header, QSV & retuned your car, Have your tuner add timing to that area..
Cause they all suck at the tuning.. My MKIII 1JZ with PTE1000, HKS 272's Idles fine.. no issues, I can actually start the car in real cold weather & the car starts right up.. It's all in the TUNING..

The 4 main reason's i got rid of them and what i think most people do it for also
1. They are Power limited to around 350 MAX
I made 422HP 465TQ back in 2007 with stock twins
2. They are 20+ years old and tend to break easy (Reliability)
I abused the crap outta the pee...
Some one has A.D.D..... What was the problem?? I am going to guess it was in the tune, Timing wasn't Sync, What's your base fuel pressure??? YOu ran outta fuel at 500hp??? it should had been around the 650-725hp range...
BTW, I run a AEM V1 from a MKIV, What I did is a MKIII (JZA70) to MKIV jumper harness, set it up for sequential ignition & sequential injection, HKS DLI wired in with the resistor box from a MKIV, TUNED AWAY!!!!
