I have an obd1 scanner and no codes have shown up after I cleared the ones from the previous owner of the car. he was running open dp and more boost than allowed by the ecu. so I got lean, rich, too much pressure, cps malfunction, and a temp. malformation. the final one is valid because I...
I've been doing it the way the haynes manual says to, but its been some time since i have messed with it because I have to drive the car everyday and I have no time.
It seem that I'm about ten degrees off on my timing and no matter how much I fettle with the timing, i"m always 5 degrees advanced or 10 degrees retarded. so I have opted to stay at 20 degrees which is closer to the stock 10 degrees. this is causing me to run pretty rich. I'm getting ignition...
Yeah, I see what you mean, but I think you need to see the 1g pipe it is fairly flat and I think would work much better than that example and have less bends than that example as well. There is a reason why Toyota did it that way.
Are there any pics? I understand that it isn't the best flow, but it's got to be better than running all of that extra pipe if you don't get a spearco or replica intercooler.
Does anyone know if sylvania makes the ultras in the selfcontained units that they have for the silvers. I almost bought a set of them, but I whant to know if I can get more powerful lights without breaking the bank for hids.
I think it could work. With what poodles said you might have to do the 2j coil pack conversion but the alt shouldn't get in the way. One of you Aussie guys have to try this cause us yanks woulnt come across a 1g in our lives.
I want new lights but stock headlights are self contained. I was just wondering what some of you guys would suggest based on what you've done. I want it to be brighter than stock but hids are out of my budget.
I just looked at a picture of a 1g-gte and the intake manifiold looks similar to a 7m. Has anyone thought of using the upper intake pipe off a 1g instead of running a ffim. So this way you could run a front mount without all of the extra piping.
So I tried to test the pressure through the coolant system, but vatozone didn't have the adapter for import radiators:icon_evil:icon_evil. but I have noticed that after I let the engine cool the upper radiator hose is empty, do you guys know if this leads to a specific leak?
I replaced the valve cover gaskets, that seems to have fixed most of my oil problem, now I'm going to pressurize the coolant system tonight to try and find that leak.
I know that there are those, but It is coming from the top of the engine, those hoses are way to low. I have seen the flow and it is coming from the top of the head.
It couldn't really be only that plate cause I'm only getting leaks on the exhaust side, but I can't get to the heater hose and I have to DD this car so right now just dumping money in in the form of oil and coolant is the only thing I can do.
If I can find a place to do it I would do a...
