Wouldn't a 1.06 hot side on a 2.5L motor be laggy? My .68 hot side T61 turbo spool doesn't come on till 3200rpm. I can't imagine what spool will be like with a 1.06. I'm sure it will give a lot of top end but will be lag monster. Agreed with TBc would prolly be go with a .8x hot side.
I like the V3 shifter been using it for two years. Even when I track my car never miss a gear with it. One of the best if not the best IMHO shifters for our supes.
My 1j motor has about 87k miles and still going strong. I drive my car hard 80% of the times and take it to the track 3x a month. I'm sure with regular oil changes and maintenance these jz engines will last you a long time.
A single walbro will do fine for power goal of up to 500-550hp. Anything over than that you need to have higher or dual fuel pumps to be on a safe side. There's an mk2 supra in SF that dynoed his 1j at 500+ hp with a single walbro and stock fuel pressure regulator.

Question is if the oil is low. During you drifting practice if the oil is low guest what will happen during hard cornering, the oil pick up will get uncovered.
