Stock twins kind of low for 11-13 psi though and with a aftermarket ecu. Just for comparison my baseline dyno'd was 296/308 at 10psi stock ecu untuned.
Agreed. Angel (OP) has a 550 USDM injectors that was just cleaned and flowtested. I will ask him what the flow rates are and compare it to my jdm 440cc.
This will end this myth once and for all.
+1.
If you could ditch the electric fans and go with the mechanical clutch fan. I run this setup with the stock 7m rad (oem new) and I have zero issues.
Have you tried the ngk copper plugs (4644) and gap it to .022?
I'm running the copper plugs @ .025 and boosting 22psi with no spark blowout. My coils gotta be in good shape. ;)
LOL, calm down kimosabe .... Not disputing anything just merely stating 1jz map sensor and 2jz map sensor are the same.
As for the safc thing vs other piggybacks comparison, I know enough what it can and cannot do. I have no comments (pos or neg). Use your own judgment on whether to use it or...
I ran 22psi (no boost cut) with 1jz map, aristo ecu and safc. Was gonna buy the 2j map then after more research found out it's the same as 1j.
Yeah it's a myth...
Trust me go with the aristo ecu. Buy yourself a pnp adapter harness from Dr Tweak, rock it for a while while you save $$ so you can switch it to AEM ems later on.
Honestly, the 6800 rpm rev limit is not that bad. Unless you're a rev junkie all the time even then at 7k rpm there isn't much noticeable power increase from 6800rpm to 7k with the stock cams. My car has a very nice power band from 3000 all the way to 6500 probably due to better timing control...
