The last time someone made that sort of remark toward me, I simply asked "do you own one?" with the returned answer of "hell no I can't afford that shit!" Give the response of "then shut the f**k up your opinion is invalid" and walk away.
Works really well they usually get the look of...
get rid of the crankcase breathers, if you're so worried about getting oil vapors into your intake, run a catch can setup from vc's to the intake. also get rid of that underdrive crank pulley. it's not dampened... if you're so worried about weight, get an ATI unit. or just run the stock damper...

Weir has final drives (ring and pinion) for the differential that let's you go from your stock 4.30 all the way up to a 5.71. shorter gears = faster acceleration (but lower top speed). Also rebuilding your diff and shimming it properly will...
I don't know what part of "chicagoland" you're in, but up here in Waukegan/Gurnee area there's a couple of yards that have Supras (at least had them the last time I was there) and the arms would probably be fairly cheap if you can get em off without air tools
Well I was going to run a Holset HX40 on it (T4 divided, 17cm exhaust housing) with a SP QSV. The QSV is 3/4" thick and would be about what I need. I've been thinking about selling it and going PT6766 though.
What ignition wires do you have with your IS300 conversion?
I'm sure I missed it, but what exhaust mani is that? It doesn't look stock, and it's definitely not a Treadstone (HKS knockoff) manifold... maybe Cartech? Shoot I'd love a cast mani with a center-set turbo location instead of my turbo sitting next to the firewall... haha
dealership and cheap don't go hand in hand. Last time I checked, there were only a few sets of hatch window trim left and for a full set was going to be around 450 USD. My dealership is usually pretty good about being able to source parts for me.
Any information on those few turbos out there with CT turbine and compressor housings with Garrett CHRA's? I'm about to pick one up but don't know who's been making these or any of the specs on them...
I have a HX40 with the T4 footprint.... it's a MASSIVE hotside. 17cm^2 (~1.29A/R). Unless you've got headwork, higher compression, nitrous, a QSV, or something else to help spool.... it's gonna take a while to get there.
