Oooh, thread resurrection. Interior's going 5 years strong now with no chipping or peeling. Spent a lot of that time parked outside too. Here's the latest interior update for anyone who cares. Finally installed my powder coated TMS harness bar.
The Corbeau 3 point retractable harnesses sit...
I'd say $350 to $500. But won't get too many interested buyers unless you know what it is setup for, ie. raised fuel cut off, injector size, rev limit increase, etc.

No prob. And I'm just using their regular water-based sound deadening compound. Their thermal barrier stuff has ceramic mixed in. I stuck with the regular for cost and weight savings. Surprisingly it does not burn on my firewall or next to the exhaust pipes. But then again, neither does the...
I have several mm's of second skin sprayed inside and under the car. New carpet has thick padding as well. Never experienced any heat issues whatsoever.

Thanks for the replies. That should get me started. One strange thing I noticed is that when driving, the ABS light is solid, but starts flashing codes as soon as I come to a full stop. This is with the ABS module plugged in. According to the TSRM, this should not be happening. Ideas?
Backstory:
Car started as an Auto trans, ABS system worked fine. Car sat for several years outside with with no engine, trans and open brake lines since ABS module was removed for engine bay repaint. The ABS Module sat for years in a garage uncapped. The exposed brake lines in the engine bay...

Wow. Even worse than I imagined. I thought it was going to replace the lid entirely.
On a side note, what the hell is up with the small section of bright red carpet in that interior?
I would think that would sit up way too high once installed. Hard to believe that this would be a factory option. Looks like someone took it out of a conversion van and bolted some brackets to the bottom. The design and the fabric don't seem to match any MK3 interior that I've come across...
Many of the really damaged fins required the use of two flat head screw drivers being held at different angles to bend a fin with one and support it from the other side with the other. I got into a Zen-like state of concentration while doing it. Kinda felt like a brain surgeon. lol. My father is...
Tried the comb, didn't really help me much. With smashed in fins, a pair of small flat heads is the only thing that'll work without ripping the fins. As far as straightening goes, the tweezer part went fairly brisk and easy.
Made one pass with 2 small flat head screw drivers to pull and angle each fin. Then made another pass with a small pair of tweezers to pinch each fin straight. Painstakingly slow, but effective.
The little red door lights, hatch area light, key chime, glove box light and vanity light work. That's it though. No other lights come on. The driver map light, dome lights, ignition cylinder light and DC outlet light (which has power) do not come on. I pulled the dome light fuse in the engine...
My trip meter started getting stuck at nine. A few hundred miles later if won't move at all once I reset it to zero. I don't see how it would have anything to do with the cluster being taken out, the little plastic gear just gets worn. Best bet is to try and find an odometer with close to your...
Scored a pretty sweet deal on a roached Greddy R-SPL 2 Row. The cores looked intact so I thought I'd take a chance on it. Well after a good cleaning inside and out it was time to straighten fins. Some little tweezers and a lot of patience goes a long way. Here's where 10+ hrs gets ya.
Before...
I cannot find a shop in the area that I trust. I've been getting far too many "yeah, I'll give it a shot" or "I can probably figure it out" to dare let them touch my car. I had the car tuned a couple of years ago in Maryland and once I had it towed down here, it shifted my tune due to me being a...
The wastegate flapper doesn't need to open very far to regulate boost, so it should stay shut up until just before your set boost is reached. If it even opens a crack it will definitely slow your spool considerably. What I believe is happening is that your DDP's divider isn't mating completely...
