i guess mine was letting someone that didn't know thrust washers had a right way and a wrong way (obviously wasn't that clued up, didn't realise then) :3d_frown:
for those that don't know, it creates crankwalk and makes your block & crank a paperweight :nono:
i'm running stock engine cept for 20thou over pistons.
I found a slightly melted boost line so i've replaced it and now vacuum is -18, still a little low to what i'm used to
timing was 11deg
i don't have any readings available, all i have is the digital dash which normal = 82-105deg C and it went over that
As soon as i'm moving it's fine, only traffic
I may try another thermostat
I did up my thermo housing tight so i'm assuming there is one in it LOL
Ian...
hey ya'll
Out today taking my car for it's first decent run and while stuck in traffic (pretty much not moving for about 10mins) the temp spiked up one notch, turn on heater & aux fan and it came back down a bit.
As soon as i got on the highway temp dropped intensly suggesting clutch fan not...
i have many many seats :-p
i got one from a spare
unfortunately according to cygnus epc they may not sell those as it's not in the diagram
My way of dissasembly:
undo screws in side of seat (where the recline lever is)
get small screwdriver & pop out the clip that holds the manual...
soooooooo bags not doing that again, vertical motor replacement sucks
Turns out i didn't break it phew! haha, the metal bush on the shaft which is the stopper had been deformed from the motor being overwound which then chewed teeth out inside the top of the motor.
I think there was something...
interesting, at least toyota didn't really change the seats, wouldn't surprise me if they decided that they would change one part just to be different lol
i'm gonna tackle the motor again this morning as i think i broke it last night LOL
So diassembly of front of seat required again haha
