I'll put some info together and should be able to answer most of your questions. It'll just take me a few days or whatnot to get it written down.
-That's prob a good point though that more of the info should be documented for the community to see. I'll see what I can put together.
Do this one! It may not seem like it, but there's info out there and a number of us have completed it. I'd be willing to send info your way. Pretty good aftermarket support (enough to have a really fun car). Newer (by year) engine. Really great powerband.
PM me if you want some more...
^something like that is what I'm in the process of doing. Have to weld a support/nut onto the frame rail, but with a lip/IC piping in the way it's the only real solution without having to cut a hole in the bumper.
Sweet pics! I made it down a few years ago and have to say it's been my favorite show to attend. It's great seeing so much Toyota variety and all the outside the box builds all in one spot.
Thanks for sharing!
I picked up what was supposedly the last genuine from Toyota about a month ago - wasn't crazy about the Ebay style ones and I think your comparison is good for people considering it to see.
May workout fine, but it's good to know what you're getting into with the China stuff.

The link you posted is for a 2JZGE anyway, so if you're using a 2JZGTE cylinder head, it won't bolt up right off the bat.
As far as a GTE header/fitment, I couldn't tell you. The MTR 1J header fits with no issues (on a 2J block), but that's to be expected.

I recently ordered what I was told is the last genuine TRD shift knob of this style. It was at a dealership in OH. I'll know when it gets here if they got me the right one;
It'll go into a collection including the TRD oil cap, TRD radiator cap, TRD license plate and TRD fuel cap cover (yes...
Here's a few pics of the aformentioned "KeithH" original. Below it is the first sunshade that came from the new mold which we were comparing to his.. (probably 6 or so years ago now;) )
All stripped down for the most part:
87 blue/blue n/a 5 spd
90 pearl/maroon turbo auto
88 black/grey turbo 5 spd
91 burgandy/gray turbo 5 spd
Sad, but there's more value in the parts then the car as a whole..
Couple of things that make my Supra unique:
19x9/10.5 Racing Hart CP-F's - some of the lightest 19" wheels you can find (19x9=19 lbs) Paint is Super Black Chrome (NOT Chrome;) )
Backed by 14"/13" BBK with Wilwood superlites.
1-off full 304ss exhaust. V-banded hiflow cat/test pipe...
It's funny how I look back and my list has changed...
10 years ago when I first got my Supra:
1) intake
2) exhaust
3) more boost
4) Airfuel/boost gauges
5) something spiffy on the exterior
Now:
1) Wheels
2) Suspension
3) Front Lip
4) Brakes
5) Performance
If there was a decent way to ship them (probably roll) I could use both left and right inner fenders in the front for my 98. Mine are worn through in a couple spots from tire wear (prev) and I haven't come across new ones yet.
Shipping would be to 98072.
Thanks!!
Kevin
