It seemed kind of sad so I thought it was the driver. Somehow I missed that whole neck brace part. Ah well, I'm glad it was a better outcome.
MK3s are still very safe!
I should explain why Ed is asking this question. I have the full TEC2 7M setup (pulley w/ wheel, timing cover with sensor mount, etc) collecting dust in a box at the shop. I mentioned that if he could find a TEC2 for under $300, it might be worth starting out on a good note, due to the price...
I've been dealing with MK3 for over 10 years, I have not seen any deaths in vehicle. I'm sure they exist, I just haven't seen them. I've seen nasty crashes and even flips and the person always lives.
EDIT: I posted because I thought the driver died, but it seems that was not the case.
Stay...

Looks like an XS power exhaust and intake manifold. Those must suck :)
To answer the question, yes they will drop in if your injectors are yellow (low impedance). Your car will run rich.
We still would like to know wh you want to do it though :)
There are stand alone units, but the Emanage Ultimate has a "launch" feature similar to a 2step. I don't know of anyone using it on a supra at the moment.
Why would you replace the stock 1jz map sensor?
It should stay in, so that your low end responds like stock. Adding the greddy map sensor will allow you to tune for what the stock one can't handle (after 15 psi).
The ultimate will remove fuel cut, if you haven't already.
Technically, you can...
You have to get Toyota gaskets, there is nothing else.
Check with Jeff watson @ champion Toyota.
That said, I have never seen a 1jz exhaust gasket leak, so maybe it just needs to be tightened. I have some used ones if you need something in a pinch.
To answer your question, yes it will work.
Go to the junkyard and find a cressida with 7M. You will get the intake manifold, throttle body, and intake pipe that you need to make the conversion. You also need the coupler from the TB to the intake pipe, which has the ISC port in it
However, if...
Quick note:
The prior headgasket had no rings around the water jackets, which seems to have led to the failure. Make sure your new head gasket has these.
Your turbo oil drain needs to be replaced! They used a regular heater hose it seems, please replace this asap. You can get high...
We use NGK 6097 in just about everything. You can get 3-4 plugs for the price of a single platinum. We sell them in packs of 18 to keep things convenient for you.
However, we stock all NGK part numbers. Can be shipped out same day if you order in the morning.
NGK spark plug wires are...
What intercooler? Any race gas?
That is about right for that setup on pump gas and only 16 psi. If I recall Jason's car was doing ~400 @ 17 psi on a similar turbo w/ a little 100 mixed in there. If you heat soak at all the computer is going to pull timing and take away about 10hp.
I've sold at least 30 of the steel lightweight flywheels, no complaints.
SPEC also has a steel lightweight flywheel. It is a few bucks more, but a USA product, always a plus.
The only thing about steel flywheels, is that they are not as light about aluminum.
This is OLD information, but there was a magazine article YEARS ago about the EVC boost controller in an MK3 auto. It was relatively stock and they were playing with the boost controller.
If I recall they were in the low 13s, and I've heard of other stock autos in the 12s. You can certainly...
