Yeah I was just reading that today that these walbro build pressure within seconds the key is turned on. Might as well not worry about that.
Need to focus on the fpr, starter, and brakes atm.
Yeah I'm working on brakes right now. Ordered some parts off rockauto, just waiting on them now. Then it's off the stands and on the road. Gots to get the fuel system right. Need it to hold pressure after shut off and need fpr to work right. Also going to take the starter back to autozone...
I did get a genuine walbro gss341 255lph pump as it says on the pump.
Could vac not getting to the fpr have any thing to do with pressure leaking after engine turned off?
Will test out the fpr!!
Most everybody says if I have plans of more power to go walbro 255 which I did. Which decent pump is there that has more fuel flow then stock that has an integrated check valve?
Ok after looking and looking around I think I found an idea on the fuel check valve.

Or more so going and then stopping. Tires weren't even turning as pads and rotors were fused. Pretty sure driving would have broken them free but would rather make sure the pad and rotor contact would come free compared to pad breaking free off the pad backing. And of course need the side to...
I opened up the brake system only to find out there where a lot of problems. Pads were fused to the rotors. Rear driver caliper lower guide pin was seized. Driver e-brake shoe material broke off the shoe and fused to the rotor. Passenger top guide pin is bent and spins. And seemed like the...
halle freakin lujah the beast runs. Got everything back together and she runs. Buuuuutt!!! As f00g00 stated the walbro pumps doesn't have a built in check valve. So I need to buy and external check valve and figure out where to connect it. Anyone have any ideas on setting up a inline check valve...
Got the pump installed and in the tank. Will have the tank installed hopefully tomorrow. Then got to drill out the j-tube and then fire her up. Fingers crossed!!!
Sweet got my walbro pump in today. Question, I had ordered another cheap Chinese pump and it didn't have oil on it. I get the walbro pump and it has an oil on the pump. Is that normal to oil the outside of the pump? Should i clean the oil off?
I'm so eager to get this pump and get it in and get her running. I do need to clean up my brake system as i see tons of surface rust starting to build up and wheels dont turn by hand. From what i see under the supra looks good other then some kind of oil leaks. After she runs, going to do a...
I did bypass it and it was the vsv that was the issue. The vsv tested good off the car but when plugged in doesn't open. Once I get the pump and install everything I will see if it works right after that if not got some more diagnosing to do.
Ordered the walbro pump. Should be here by Monday hopefully.
But I still need to figure out why the fpr vsv isn't letting vac through after I get everything back together. Could the pump being restricted cause the vsv system from not kicking on? Maybe a safety feature toyota added?
Might strap some fireworks to it as well and shot those off as I'm driving. Post a video of that.
Yeah it took some time and a ton of tools purchase to diagnose it. Also did swap a bunch of bad parts in the process. And learned a ton in the process. And this will help others in the future as we...
Ok pulled out the pump this morning. It has a newish SEP pump. Is this a good company? They also had a foam insulator around the pump, what would be the benefit to that?
Good news inside of the tank is clean as hell. Will be ordering my walbro this weekend. Will also be checking other things...
