    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

The problem I am finding with our cars being lowered is the very long front nose. Going too low causes havoc trying to go up inclined driveways or parking lots because your bumper will basically stop the car... lol. I lowered mine just over 1" and will be raising it about 1/2" solely due to this.

Bring back the Kaminari 3 piece spoiler???

I would think a run of 10 would still keep them unique but make it easier for shine to recoup costs. Of course five will keep the rarity level high. Along with the fact these words not be cheap.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Basically you have to think "harmonic" (harmony... Music is vibration) "dampener". It absorbs vibration so the crank doesn't self destruct. Unless you understand mechanical engineering very well, go with the proven solution. Alter at your own peril. Just read the link above... Excellent material.

I can't remember exactly, but I think all you have to do is bend a tab... Someone else will confirm.

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

You said you wanted traction... That's a broad definition and (from my experience) if you go 19 you will end up with a very thin sidewall. 17" would give you better "traction". Wide tired with stiff sidewalls will only give you optimum traction on flat roads. Also "hook" (tires grabbing the road...

Bolt on Big Brake Kit For around 300$.

I personally would only use non-slotted and undrilled on our cars. Slotted have a ridge which reduces pad life and removes (slightly) contact area. Our pads do not need a "gas release" area. Most of the slotted/drilled benefits are a myth... But they do look cool.

Aluminum Diff Back Cover (Heat) question

Thanks for the confirmation. I think that even under heavy load our diffs wouldn't create much heat. They have a lot more fins on them then most. In fact almost the whole differential is fins... Lol

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

My car has a 3.9 diff currently. No reason to switch other than I think the 3.73 will just suit my driving pattern far better. I rarely do any hard pulls in first/second, my boost is usually third/fourth. Most of my driving is highway. This was solely because I found someone parting with the...

Aluminum Diff Back Cover (Heat) question

So, I painted my 3.73 diff (3 light coats of POR-15 followed by 2 light/1 med coat of Gloss black engine enamel). I researched as much as I could prior and could find nothing saying "not" to paint the aluminum cover (heat dissipation issue), so I painted it. The car is highway/city (not...

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

Still considering repairing the 7M (Its a good engine still and I have another head that will probably work), going 2jz or doing a LS1/T56 swap. In the meantime... plugging away on other components. Because I am running 18's my speedo is off a bit (3-5 kph) and most of my driving is done on...
