    Questions on my 2jz swap

Yea, from my experiences with oil pans, its best not to over tourque them, hand tight is good in my book at first, not just for possible stripping, but also gives the gasket a chance to set up, then I put a turn or two on. Good luck!

    Questions on my 2jz swap

I can help you out with No. 4. The speedometer cable is the same, but the tranny mount is different If the turbo tach came out of a pre-89 then it should be fine. But I think there a little bit more to it then just a plug, Good luck!

    2JZ-GE NA-T Flywheel Question

Hi all, I'm soon to be starting a 2JZ-GE NA-T on 7M electronics, and I was wondering about a flywheel for this application. I will be daily driving this car or driving it very often and was aiming for 375 to 400 horsepower. I plan on running the ACT HD clutch (stage 3 rated at 408 ft/lbs)...

Super Monitor doesnt work after hardwire

The super monitors are different depending if it’s a turbo or non-turbo car, so you will need one from a non-turbo for your application.

    Project Cracker - Update #2 - No 56K

It’s like the twin to my 87 I just picked up, but you have a targa and red interior, so maybe not quite a twin, but similar none the less. Your car makes me wish mine was a targa, no AC = hot. Hehehe. It looks like you still have the factory front lip, I wouldn’t dare to trade that for a 89+...

New Pic from my 24v ITB project.

Nice, I have been looking around for a good ITB to start with, never was aware BMW had them. What do you plan to do with the brake booster and vacuum lines? Also, are you going to run a stock flapper, or are you going with a MAP based system?

    86.5 Oil pressure gauge

My 86 was built in Feburary with a number very close to yours, so it may just be a early production thing.

My 86.5 has the same gauge, I think it may have been factory in 86.

    Split decision..... Turbo or N/A

In what ways is the car in bad shape? If the car is in bad shape then buying a turbo engine should be last on your list of things to buy. A properly maintained engine turbo or no turbo will be reliable, but getting a engine to swap into your car without doing a rebuild will cost you more...

    2JZ-GTE Swap?

You can buy pre-89 swap brackets to put the 2JZ in your car. You can get them from driftmotion, you will need to put a "dent" in the passenger side firewall if you plan to keep the stock two turbos. Good luck!

    W58 not really fitting 7mge?

The thing below the intake manifold bolted to the block is for the ACIS. Do not remove it or its companion vacuum solenoid or ACIS will not work. The ACIS is a butterfly valve that closes at around 4K rpms and changes the intake dynamics from a short runner intake to a long runner, may be...

    Lip service and battery issue

The lip has a system of brackets that hold it on and hold it on strait. If those brackets are warped then the lip will be the same. The only way to fix it is to remove it and try to straiten the brackets up and then reinstall it. I think there is a way to fix cracks in rubber components but...

finally my supra. after 10 years waiting!

Huh, the rear wiper starts on the bottom of the window like the pictures in the magazine reviews I have. Must be a non US Spec 86 thing, I like it. Your car looks good! I would keep the pre-89, but thats just me. Then again, if your doing paint for the new fender, why not? Do you intend to...

    Replacing A/C compressor clutch

You can replace the front part of the clutch while its on the car but its very difficult to take the pulley off, its much easier to just to take it out. I have taken the compressors in and out of both of my cars many times, it wasn't that hard for me. The clutch has two parts, the part right...

need help fast, supra wont start

Check over everything twice. Also check if your getting fuel pressure, but my guess is the CPS wires or coil pack wires could be the blame. Good luck.

Oh the CARNAGE! *not for the faint of heart*

    Slight issue with the A340E

How is speedo? If its "loose" the speed sensor may be getting inaccurate readings causing erratic shifting. Sometimes my auto will up shift when just putting along at low speeds, but as soon as I put a little gas to it downshifts. As said, a new filter could help, and it couldnt hurt. I...
