    SILV09 - Cancelled

I was there this last year (08) and back in 05, both times were great fun, along with the 1800+ mile drive each way from Canada. I hate all this "economic downturn" crap I keep hearing, and like Turbo Drifter said, everyone hears it and get scared and stops spending money. Its almost like it is...

    eBay T4 manifolds (7MGTE)

I would reccomend the Drewgo manifold... I think he makes a 7M version. They are have thick walled piping (3mm) and true 321 SS and the fit great. Brad call me and we can discuss your turbo setup.

    whos bought one?

I saw one of those "ddp's" in person at SILV 08' and I almost barffed!!, its sad to see what my origianl design has turned into....... the pipe is so thin you can almost crush it by hand, the flanges are warped badly, the bolt holes dont line up, the divider plate is just slapped on there, and...

Found NEW JDM Recaro seat fabric!!

Sorry , I forgot about this thread. My cousin can get the material, and is willing to make the replacement seat panels. They would be premade, and you would just have to take your seat apart and pull the old cover off and slide this one on. He is putting togeather a price list for me, piece by...

AEM Tune to pass emission inspection

So what are some ideal numbers for passing emissions testing in regards to timing, rpms and a/f's. 14.7 afr's?. I am trying to get a 1jz JZA70 through, with a Haltech E8 runnig semi seq and waste spark with 550 cc injectors with a stock cat. It failed twice yesterday on the driving and the idle...

    precision sc61 turbo

Most T61's use a Garret GT35R compressor wheel in them. I measured my Precision T61 and it had a GT35R wheel in it. Anyways it is a great turbo, will spool quicker than anyother turbo capable of making 550+ HP. I get full boost 17-18 psi at about 3800 rpms on my 1jz, mind you I do have the DBB...

    SP61 for 450-500whp?

The SP 61 is a great turbo for 450-500 whp, you will have to run about 20 psi. I have a DBB T61 on my 1j and last dyno I made 423 whp at 18 psi, on a pretty conservitve tune. I plan on cranking it up this summer and see what this turbo can really do. I have seen 620 whp on a T61 2jz.....

    JZ coils and standalone EMS's

My Haltech doesnt have dwell maps, just a single adjustable value. I found some Toyota 1ZZ-FE coils here at the shop, they are COP, have built in ignitors, and are nice and small and fit inside the 1jz plug galley nicely. I was doing some reasearch, and the MR2 guys are using these as...

how much power can i get out 1jz

A local here recently did 1070 hp on a bone stock 2jz !!!!, it did blow up big time, but I think he did 4-5 runs of over 1000 before it blew up. The 1j should be able to do pretty much what a 2j can, because the piston speed is way slower than the 2j and the rods are shorter but same thickness...

Bolt-on Boss bb turbo vs GT35R?

Most 61mm turbos use a GT35R compressor wheel, I am not sure if this is the case with the BOSS turbo' but I think the old SP61's used this wheel. I have a DBB Precision T61 on my car, and I measured it along with a true GT35R I had in the shop , and the compressors were exactly the same. The...

turbo capable of 600whp with small lag

This is a great turbo. I have driven/ tuned a few cars with this turbo, on 2jz they hit 18-20 psi between 3700-4000 rpms. It was making 520 whp at this boost level on 94 pump gas. 700 can be done on this turbo pushing it hard. I think Zazzn here made 670 ish HP at 25-27 psi. A 67 on a 1jz is a...

    JZ coils and standalone EMS's

I normally run BKR7E's but I am getting tierd of swapping them out every few weeks. I think I am going to try the LS coils on my car, now I just gotta find some.

Am i in the right direction to hit 450 HP

Stock twins wont get you 450...you might hit 350, thats the highest I have seen on stock twins. A 60 trim t3/t4 or 61 mm turbo will get you there with good spool. I made 440 whp on my 7m with a 60trim/ P trim turbo at 16 psi. I am currently making 423hp with a DBB T61 at 18 psi on pump gas.

    JZ coils and standalone EMS's

Well this "spark problem" plagues me with stock ECU cars and Standalone cars, which leads me to belive that its the coils. One one car after it was breaking up at 15 psi, we put another set of coils in and we were able to get up to 17 psi before it was breaking up again, this was with a...

    JZ coils and standalone EMS's

I have been fighting these JZ coils/ ignition on every car that we tune here. No we all know that JZ coils like to crack at the screw area where it mounts to the bracket and under the plug boot, which causes missfire at higher boost. When ever we get to the dyno, and try to run 17-20 psi we get...

Ic piping setup hate or love

Wow, Nash, so you do actualy have a Supra......LOL. I would run it up top like that, I like the different look. I normally run it towards the valve cover then a 45 out the turbo, and a 90 down just behind the rad.

No sorry, I never did go through with that setup, it was just wasnt a good setup for the cost. The Nightpager or Doward kit is much better.
