Fan clutch measurements JZ engine please

Maybe try a LS400 clutch , I think you may be able to bolt a 7M blade on the clutch. BTW the SC300 clutch and mk4 N/A fan only work on the 1jz, the 2jz has a different waterneck which sticks out farther than the 1jz one. With the 1jz there is only about 1/4"-3/8" between the blades and the water...

    HKS intake

The HKS filters are garbage!!, I just pulled one off a 1jz, and there was 1/8" of crud built up inside the intake pipe and that was after the filter. K&N's are fine, I also had one on my 7m and had no problems wit the AFM. AFE also make a decent filter, the AEM's are one of the best, I just...

Fan clutch measurements JZ engine please

Yup, I got the SC clutch and the mk4 n/a fan here on my desk, combined it is 3.75" to the farthest tip of the fan blade. The clutch itself is approx 2 7/8" from the watepump flange to the mounting face for the fan blade, the clutch apppears to be the same as the GTE clutch, but without the GTE...

    Solid motor mount question

No the plates are not needed with solid mounts. They are just back up plates incase the stockmount breaks, it will keep the engine in place. Solid mounts cant break, so they arent needed. Randy

Found NEW JDM Recaro seat fabric!!

This would be for the outer black material, maybe he can find the grey stuff too. Anyone else interested?, we have a ton of JZA70's here in Canada and 90% of the Recaro's I have seen have the side bolsters worn through. I am still waiting to hear back about if it is a match. Randy

    Ebay exhaust

.....you get what you pay for......I have a car in the shop now with a knock off exhaust system, and it is crazy loud, you might as well run without a muffler, and it also doesnt fit very well, it hangs really low and rubs on the rear crossmember.

Found NEW JDM Recaro seat fabric!!

Now that i have your attention....I know most of you guys that have the JDM Recaro seats have areas that have been worn through, or faded and damaged from the sun, myself included. My cousin runs an auto upholstery shop and he had repaired my passenger seat bolster before, using the material...

    Timing belt issue

The best way is to put it in a vice and compress it till you can fit a small allen key wrench in it. You should also always replace the tensioner when replacing the timing belt, they are less than $50 and you can get one for a 2jz anywhere.

    Prosport Wideband is out :)

Its nice to see another option out there. I have used a few different widebands, AEM is great hook up power and ground and install the sensor...DONE, I have an older AEM which only reads to 11.0 - 16.9 If I recall. So it kind of sucks to see that you are full rich....but is it 9.0 or 10.9...

Upgraded front brakes 300 zx calipers.

Sounds like to little to late, now with the Doward kit available this will probably fizzle out, if the production on these would have been done a month or two ago they would have sold like hotcakes!! I stil love my NP BBK, no matter what anyone says ;)

    Divorced Downpipe??

The BIC DP's are hand made in my shop, they are garranteed to fit, no drilling this, modify that and machining the flange flat or any BS like this. Just bolt it on and smile :). Some people like to buy quality time proven products, what happens if you have a problem or tech question, will the...

    Supras & Carroll Shelby??

A few weeks ago at SILV, durring the dyno day, a few of the Shelby mechanics came by and were blown away at the power the Supras were making, there was what ?, 5-6 cars making 1000+ hp. BTW the Shelby HQ was in the same complex as the Dyno shop. Sorry about the unrelated story...

    kyb gr-2 or tokico hp

I have had the KYB's on my car and I hated them, they were as soft as the stock shocks. I now run JDM Bilstiens (JZA70 turboR) and I love them!!!, they ride great and are stiffer than stock but not rough. I also have Bilstiens on my 4Runner and they are awsome. I prersonally wont put anything...

prove to me a divorced downpipe is better then a regular 3"

Alright, I just saw this thread here..... I personally did the dyno testing of the two downpipes. The runs were done on Dons car "Van Supra" here on SM, it was a 90 mk3, stock turbo, 5 speed car with only a K&N intake, manual boost controller, 3" exhaust, test pipe and standard BIC 3" DP at 10...

2jz single manifolds for mk3 swap

I just fit a XSpower 2j manifold on a car in the shop, it has the straight t4 flange (not angled), the manifold/turbo fits but the wastegate pipe has to be cut and re welded. Have any of you guys using the Drewgo manifolds had issues with boost creep?. I have some Drewgo 1J manis comming in next...

Fan clutch measurements JZ engine please

The 7M and 90 ish toyota truck fans are also interchangable, I had a 7m Supra fan/ clutch on my 92 V6 p/u. But yes the bolt pattern is too small for the JZ pulley.

Both Dp's work great. You will get a little more power from the DDP (divorced watgate DP) but it...

Both Dp's work great. You will get a little more power from the DDP (divorced watgate DP) but it is also loud at full boost. If you decide to go with a bolt on upgradede turbo, the standard 3" dp is better as the DDP will only fit on the Toyota turbo. Randy
