As with any "china manifold" just make sure to go over it and clean out the slag on the inside of the runners, it is really hit and miss with these manifolds some are ok, and others arent worth thier weight in scrap. The 1j manifolds that have the two wastegate pipes coming off the out side (...
On my car I have a DBB T61, which is a GT35R wheel with P trim turbine wheel and a .58 T4 housing. I have no surging and full boost at 3700-3800 rpms, and it pulls hard till redline.
On a customers car I did a .68 T4 housing on a true Garrett GT35R and it spooled basicly as quick as my .58...
Just wonding what is the reccomended single plate clutch for 600-700 whp , on a 2j, T67, cams, full fuel system. I am thinking about going with a RPS stage 3 with a CYNERGY flywheel. Not interested in a twin or tripple plate.
For a MK4, not MK3
PTE injectors are simply Rochester injectors with a decal on them, They are great injectors and have been using them for years and in my customers cars.
I would definatly reccomend that you stay with a T3 flanged housing. I recently did a GT35R on a 1j, it had a .68 T4 housing and it is verydifficult to get the water and oil lines on, as the center section sits farther in the turbine housing, its actually so close that its nearly impossible to...
I have finally got the 1zz coil plugs, I hope to mave it installed and wired up within the next week or two. I will post my results once its up and running.
I sometimes do this when I start up any used engines, 2L 10/30 oil and 2L ATF, then let it run for 15-20 min till warmed up then drain. The ATF is a high detergant oil and is great for cleaning off the carbon.
The 2jz fan and clutch set is very very close to the Koyo rad, I had this on my car and had a bad encounter of the fan clipping my new Koyo Rad, with a stock rad it will fit fine, just not with the Koyo. The best bet is use a Lexus LS400 fan clutch and a 7M fan blade. The 7M blade is thinner...
So does the 1jz use a VSV in the Charcol circut?, by the looks of the pic it just goes through thte steel pipe then to the TB. What would be the problem if it was hooked directly up to the TB with the standard check valve?
I have used a few of these and I have one in my own car (1jz). It is a great ECU for the money, you get nearly all the features of the AEM, lower line Motecs, for a a great price. It has 6cyl full sequential ign/ inj, boost control closed loop 02 control, launch control etc..The new software is...
Like Nash said, the X is fine unless you are tall like my self, I would also always whack my head on that, esspecially if there would be an accident. My style has two seperate bars, one for each side and does a great job of taking out the targa shimmy. It is obviously not the strongest style...
I have used a C's, Nashman and the SS shifter.
-C's I ran in may car for a year, it shifts nice and smooth and easy shifts, it is also isolated so you dont get any vibrations on the shifter. It is the stock height, so some might not like that. I also kept missing third gear while racing and...
They are in the works!!!, I made a prototype set of Targa bars for my car a few years ago, and we will finally be putting these into production very soon. I used a simple but effective design using the stock mounting holes.
I went for a ride in Brads car yesterday, and it feels really nice, the car pulls pretty hard for only 10 psi. Its hard to say how much quicker it spools that a standard GT35R as I didnt get a chance to drive it, or do any 3-4-5 gear pulls, but it is definatly 200-400 rpms quicker. Once the...
The fitment on that exhaust looks goofy if you ask me, it sticks out about 3" to far and hangs to low. The BIC Thunder fits much nicer, and it bolts on and doesnt leak!!
The T3 housings that they come with are fine, its just when they are adapted to fit a T4 housing they dont fit well. For anyone in the future, just get a T3 housing turbine and weld a T3 flange onto your T4 manifold.
BTW ,Brad I finished your 3.5" mid pipe and intake pipe!
