Any 2jz standalone will work on the 1jz, they both use the same sensors. Just dont get a 2jz km4 P&P harness as the harnesses at the ecu are very differnt.
I have used Haltech, AEM, Microtech on JZ's. I reccomend the Haltech PS2000, which I run on the shop car, you get alot of features for...
I have a few sets of the mounting brackets made now and will offer it with a sub-harness to splice into the stock ignitor harness. These coils are best run as sequential but should work fine as waste spark, but I have not tried this yet. The biggest benefit of these coils is that they do away...
^What he said ^ I also see Skylines, Hilux's and those funky Delica 4wd diesel vans almost daily. A few more years and we will get the R34 Skylines here. We have a 15 year or older import law.
These are a GO!!, check the BIC section for details here: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1445132#post1445132
Also I am making the first material order next week, so the cut off for the first run is the end of next week. So figure out what you want and PM or email me for...
The stock Toyota seals are different, intake and exhaust, they are slightly different color and one has an extra lip on the inside if I recal corectly. But I am not sure about the Ferrera seals, I have never used them. If you look closley can you see any difference?
The .030 restrictor is what the turbo shop gave me with the turbo. The crank case is simply venting to atmosphere.
Update: after driving it for a few days the smoke seemed to mostly go away, I guess it must have been residual oil in the DP and exhaust.
I recently installed a brand new DBB T67 (garret) turbo on a 2jz. I am running a -4AN feed line with a .030 restrictor in the oil inlet, the drain is -10AN with a 45* off the bottom of the turbo and a 45* on the block. There is no kinks or sharp bends in the drain line. Now once the car is...
With the ignition missfiring you will be way down on power!!!, I lost 50+ hp when my coils were missfiring. I run the 1zz coils with great sucsess. With the stock coils, even after being epoxied and heat shrunk would missfire at anything more than 17-18 psi, thats with a .022 gap (which makes...
The last time my LC1 failed (two months ago) it went to 15.0 and stayed there, it also showed an error code. I have had three Innovate LC1's sensors fail in two years, one sensor went within 5 min of the initial install!!. While my old AEM has had the same sensor for 5 years and in 3-4 cars and...
You gotta hammer on a 1jz pretty hard to blow the HG, the only way it can happen is if you had some detonation from some bad gas, or if your crank/ cam sensors was out of whack.
Do a leak down test with the rad cap pulled off, if there is any cylinder with the HG "blown" it will bubble out...
Journal bearing T67s are major dogs on 1jz's, I have driven/ tuned one and it doesnt do much till 4500-5000 rpms, once it comes online it really pulls hard. It makes full boost after the peak TQ mark, which really shows that it is miss matched to the engine. I feel it really kills the joy of the...
First off the stock MK3 hardware is great but it is 20+ years old and cracks and breaks after time, esspecially after the engine has been pulled a few times for BHG's, rebuilds and engine swaps. The 86-88 factory mounts are strong, but 450+ HP and launching with slicks or DR's, it is very hard...
Quick question. My fabricator installed an HKS FCD on a 1jz mk3, just wondering what you guys have the setting switch at ?. There werent any settings listed for the 1jz only the mk4 or 7M. We tried 7 and 9 but still hit FC.
