I have no idea where i left off motor wise on this thread. I know I mentioned the oil pressure being extremely low. I had stopped driving the car as soon as I saw it. I pulled the motor/trans awhile ago. Lately I put the motor on the stand and started ripping it apart. I had ordered an new oil...
I didn't know if I was going to make it or not before. I'll be there as usual. Can't wait! Black one probably won't make it. I don't know what I'll be coming in yet. I'll bring some porkchops and cheese.
The motor is pretty much ready to go in. Just need some parts off the current motor (ps pump, egr cooler and other knick knacks) So I pulled the motor yesterday after work. Pics.
I hate gear oil!!!

Dave: you have no idea! I can't wait for summer to put he back together!!
I thought they would be fine but wasn't sure. I'm ok right now. I can lower it just a bit but I can't lower it too much without pulling/flaring the fenders and quarter panel. I still need injectors, fuel rail and a good tune before I can run. When is Street Wars? I doubt I'll make it. I'll...
Thanks Fred! I'm really liking it myself! Makes me want to get it running more! I don't know if it will be running by then. There is more I'd like to do while the motor is out. I'm about to go back to school in the fall. Before I start school, I want to pass my CCNA so I can get a better job and...
Pushed it outside to give it some fresh air, wash it down and take some pics. Gotta finish the spoiler. Had bight some new Mkiv mats awhile ago. Finally put them in to see how they look.
Pics.

Some updates. Had to replace the front left lower ball joint cause the boot was torn, the stud and castlenut were stripped. I ordered one from rockauto with a fitting to maintain better.
TOUCHDOWN!!!
gotta drop it just q little bit but I'll wait till I drop the motor back in first.
He didn't take much off the head and block since it was already flat. The head gasket is still a too thick.

Ok so here's what's been going on with this project. I completely disassembled the motor down to bare block took me little over an hour. Took the block and head to a different shop cause the original shop doesn't have a machine to do a better finish. Pshh. Not gonna go there anymore. Got the...
Yea i've been slacking. Getting ready to go back to school. Might be more slacking in here for a while. :(
why thank ya sir! So far I've had a friend working on bushings and all new hardware. Got the energy suspension poly bushings. That takes care of all the arms. Upper, lower, front and...
In my red car, I had 1jz r154 and a 4.3 open. I would drive to DC and back to Philly and would do 80-90 the whole way. rpm would be around 3200-3400. since it is .5L smaller then I would still get decent mpg. If you want good hwy mpg then get the 3.7. If you want good track times, stay with the...
Well since I have all these pics I'll post the rest anyway. Lol.
upgraded oil pump from Driftmotion
new ct26 57-trim with polished compressor housing and ceramic coated exhaust housing.
yea tyler saw it. He said the same thing. I'm just going to take it apart and get the mirror finish just to be safe. I'd rather spend $300 now than have to spend $1000 later.
