so are the lights...I know this..I did the tail light swap. Part of my motivation for painting the strips was the fact that a distinction could be made between the pre89 trim and the middle trim piece as they were different colors. since the entire thing is black now it should be less noticeable.

i had that problem when reinstalling my pads.you have to push the pads together and make sure that nothing is stopping them.they should then neatly slide in. if not...something is wrong with your brakes....
