i am in the process of getting is300 vvti coils, dh61 ignitor, sequential injection wired, aem ems with all sensors, 18 psi dyno tune on 93 pump ion my 57 trim ct26 7m Shane built! i want to get it done which it should be done and dyno'd in about 3 weeks and start another setup for 600hp i...
ok thank you! i think im going to stick with the .68 a/r it will be very responsive if i get bored ill go .81 a/r, with cams and a built head and motor and a good tune i think i can make the 6265 do some big things :)
particularly with the billet 6265 precision turbo is a .68 a/r going to choke at 7500 rpm? i plan to rev the car to 7500-7800 rpm at max didn't know if the .68 a/r would choke real bad i want the quick spool! my only other choice would be .81 a/r just didn't know if anyone was running a .68 a/r...
thank you guys, didn't mean to get anything started with the 7m and jz thing my apologies. reason i posted this is because the time is almost here as soon as i tune my car i am either going to be doing a forged 7m or swapping a 2jz from what everyone has said and from what knowledge i already...
well ive been 7m my first setup and current setup is a 57 trim ct26 with a rebuilt upgraded .20 over 7m all supporting mods and aem ems its in the process of getting tuned and should be a blast but im def. wanting to start my new setup soon, honestly i think its worth it if its done right the...
to give you an idea of what the setup will be on either motor : billet 6265 precision turbo undecided on the a/r housing yet, e85 compatible fuel system, upgraded oil system, aem or pro efi standalone, cams, built head and motor, all supporting mods, built r154, clutch to hold the power/torque...
thank you te72 i agree the 2jz is more reliable thus better for daily use and beating on! 7m is very unforgiving haha...i have seen some pretty stout built 7ms from induction performance in Florida that i am following closely on...i dont beat on my car at all i like to drive the highway and city...
i know its been covered many times i have searched a lot on the topic for years im just very torn between actually spending a load of money to make the 7m perform what the 2jz can in stock form but i want to have a very very fun car for street use. not everyday driven but driven a lot! i like...
im getting ready to wrap up my current 7m setup to either go forged 7m or go 2jz im looking to run a precision billet 6265 turbo, standalone, fuel system for e85 ect.. i know this has been talked about numerous times and i know there are many arguments i just want opinions on rebuilding my 7m...
how does this turbo pull on the top end? guessing you rev to 7k? are you going to add cams or anything else when you tune for higher boost? car should do 600whp!
standalone tune helps a lot for precise tuning and maximum power you can squeeze out , 4" exhaust helps a lot with holsets from what i read it opens up a lot of air!, maybe some gsc cams since you are 2jz and about 15 psi on pump will do 400whp easy maybe more, 25 psi should do right around...
