I was thinking about doing an exhaust cut out with a switch, just to have that nasty loud scream at wot for shits and giggles. And of course it adds alittle hp:)
You are picking up new stuff everyweek! Keep up the motivation and progress buddy....
Your running stock boost right?
What kind of plugs do you have and what is the gap on them? Saying there gapped for a 2j says nothing....
I suggest you take them all out and inspect them, make sure there not fouled out. Then check the gap on each one to make sure they are gapped at .028
Then...
Are you talking about the light that looks like a birdcage? It is the overflow tank light, telling you it needs more water.
As for sputtering....check your coils packs for cracks.
What are plugs gapped at?
Fix the knock sensor.
Ne points are were your rpm's are for tuning. I think mine are set at 4,200-4,500- 5,000- 5,300-5,600- 6,000-6,200- 6,400- 6,600- 6,800-7,000-7,200.
You can also put in a switch and connect it in the glove box. When you know you will be doing some high speeds, you can flip the switch.
I did that untill I got my mines ecu:)
Saving would be good right now, just opened a new business and I was wanting to go with a single this summer.
If I do rebuild my bottom end, were is a good place to buy bearings with thrust washers? Should I get the clevite bearing set from driftmotion?
I have a full list of other stuff from...
So it would be better/safer to just get a diffrent bottom end and rebuild that, wether it be a 2j or 1j?
Anyone have a good source for a bottom end?
Thanks fellas!
I've been thinking about that alot over the past week, and I am going to go with the 2j bottom end and fully rebuild it.
I just have to do alot of research on it before I dive in. I new I wanted to go with to 1.5jz someday.....just not so soon.
