Its up to you. I say as long as it is 3 or 4 ply and silicone its fine. I think the stock hose is only 2 ply. So in that case you should be fine with 3 ply. Stock is rubber with ply. The new ones would be silicone with 3ply which is a 110xS better. BTW I haven't gotten to the brackets yet...

I honestly do not recommend you use the rubber couplers from any auto parts store. You need to get a blue coupler that is 3 or 4 ply silicone. I know for a fact that those rubber couplers wont even hold up to 10psi. I don't know how much pressure our cooling system puts out but I know its more...

Did you put sealant on the front cam caps before you put them on. If not it might or probably will leak oil. Not much but its still a leak.
