JENNY : can you start your car at least? You should check the 100 amp ALT fuse in the Engine compartment. YOu can't pull it off if it is busted. It is one of the fuses that actually is bolted down....10mm bolts from the bottom of the box.
That fuse is linked to accessory power .
Mark,
One thing to make sure is that all the screws are there holding the tach to the cluster. If you miss the ground/Earth screw, it will not work at all. Check the back of the cluster and for screws holding the tach in to the cluster.
Look :
All 1986-1988 944 Turbos came equipped with a K-26#6 turbo
1988 ½ - “89” models came with a K-26#8. The main difference is size of the exhaust housing and turbine wheel.
Kyle,
Those turbos came in different cars. The turbo is similar to the Garrett T25 turbos as far as performance. It is a quick spooling turbo able to produce up to 250hp.This turbocharger can also be used on V6 and V8 applications in a twin turbo setup like I am doing.

Mark,
the smaller connector on the ignitor has the tach signal. It should be the black wire ( first one. ) Put a continiuty test probe there and then run it to the 1st connector from the left if your cluster is out.YOu should probe the black wire with silver dots on it. That is your tach...
Fingering guys is not a good thing. Since my question is answered....my thread is officially off topic thanks to Yellow and Kyle... lol. Somehow I new it would come up...:biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Actually i am using the tranny bolts as well.
Only thing I need to see is the locations where the bolts are on. For some reason, I can't seem to line up the 4 bolts on mine :( . I have a 1 ton stand from Harbor Freight....
Kyle, how about a closer shot ? Thanks man.

what locations are you using to mount the engine on the engine stand.?
What locations are bolted on?
I could not line up mine with the 7m block.
Thanks.
