If the foam was holding the flap shut, then how would one explain the heat coming through when the vacum is directly plugged into the heater valve bypassing the VSV - solenoid? The small lever on the valve moves up and down as you apply and remove the vacum hose. THis should relate to the...

Kyle, I don't think that would be an issue with the linkage type. We are using the same controls for ac and that seems to work for those who have ac. The wire is still the same.

Well the fuses are fine. The blower works, it just does not control the vsv valve to control the heat.

OK, My heater is not working after this swap. Checked the heater wires and they are hooked up correctly to the harness and the coresponding dash harness . ( 1jz ) Heater valve works when vacumn is applied directly bypassing the vsv. Tried two different VSVs and tried controlling the heat...

Chris, It looks like that renting does not come with a tning service. It may have to be done by you. YOu want me to to check with my tuner? I am sure he has experience with MAFTpro with the DSM.s..

Yup Bill, Thanks man....I think I will just remove the head with everything attached and replace it like that. Ofcourse got my new timing belt today. Hope it is ready by Friday.. lol

OK : Pulled the Cressida engine out. Not too hard to do. Made a mess with tranny fluid .. :( Well, also fiound out why the engine was siezed..my suspicion was right... Why do all the 7ms blow around the same place ? And the Big ass hole :)
