I think a Greddy emanage will be a lot easier to install/setup and tune with a good amount of control for a piggy back. I would suggest that . For the price of a MAP ECU... you can probably pick up an emanage with a Greddy Fields type plug and play harness with everything wired in. I have on eof...
Looks like you got the setup from the gentleman on lextreme. I read his post last night about these parts he was having machined. Any reason you did not get his belhosusing for the r154 setup? From What I understood, it was made out of a mold to bolt up the UZ to a r154....without the use of any...
For it to be Bar'ed and smog legal in California, it probably needs to be setup using the US model Harness to work with the egr electronics/sensors/vsv's etc/, and that in itself is MAF based system as well. But I'l watch this and take notes :) .
Car sounds very nice and healthy for sure as is.

I hope you choose some really good looking wheels for this car...it will turn out very sexy

Not really. Price tag and wiring is also about the same.....maybe a couple of hundred different but thats it. I've gone through both....so I know...:biglaugh:
both your cars suck!!!!!! they are ugly betty .... okaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...
Oh yeah....go 1JZ. less problems for him in the front radiator support area compared to a 2JZ.
$200 for an hour with unlimited pulls is not bad. Local guys charge about $185 / hour to tune the safc/emanage blue or any other piggy backs.
SAFC / Neos are usually tuned within an hour as they are quite simple as long as there are NO BOOST LEAKS. or any other problems.
